Top Performers at the MSU Camp

<p>The MSU Mustangs made their way to Lovejoy with one mission: to discover the next wave of talent ready to join the herd. The camp brought together some of the area's top prospects, giving athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills, compete at a high level, and make their mark in front of the Mustang coaching staff. Here are few Top Performers from the camp.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Brady had a strong performance this past weekend, earning TE Camper of the Day honors. At 6'5", he possesses outstanding size, a large catch radius, and the athleticism to create mismatches against defenders. His burst, change of direction, and ability to make defenders miss allowed him to consistently create big plays throughout the camp. He displayed excellent body control, vision, and acceleration as a runner. He has great vision, runs with balance and power, and is a weapon in the passing game, making him a versatile offensive threat.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Xavier was truly an X Factor this weekend. His combination of power, quickness, versatility, and grit was impressive throughout individual drills and competition. He showcased the ability to play both guard and tackle, displaying the athleticism and physicality coaches look for along the offensive line. Jack understands how to use his lower half, plays with excellent leverage, and consistently creates movement at the point of attack. He is explosive out of his stance, allowing him to create leverage against pass rushers. He showcased excellent one-on-one technique, displaying the ability to stay in range of all receivers. Preston understands how to use his hands effectively, while also showing the quickness and fluidity to get in and out of his breaks. His speed, tenacity, and relentless motor were on full display throughout the camp. His ability to read his keys, understand tackling angles, and display strong football IQ made him a standout linebacker. He showcased great awareness, tackling ability, and the toughness needed to excel at the position.
