Georgia is undoubtedly one of the best states in the country when it comes to high school football talent. This makes finding some of the truly best prospects in the state can be a challenge. Here, we will go through several counties in Georgia and find the best prospects the area has to offer, starting with Cherokee county.

Top 5

[player_tooltip player_id='119027' first='Andrew' last='Rosinski'] - 2024 - OL - Creekview

Rosinski is the "can't miss" prospect in Cherokee County this cycle. Rosinski committed to UNC over other P5 offers earlier this year. He simply checks all the boxes. He has fantastic length at 6'6 280 and is quick. He is able to get down the field in a hurry to lead the way for big plays. I also believe his pad level and technique have taken a few leaps forward in the last year. With some added development, he has every opportunity to become a great get at the next level.

Jackson Hancock - 2024 - ATH - Sequoyah

Hancock had been creeping onto the recruiting radar for a few years and finally broke through this spring, adding numerous FBS offers. Hancock is exceptionally versatile, lining up all over the field and making plays at each spot. He showcases some impressive playmaking ability with the ball in his hands. He has great vision, acceleration, and is a very fluid athlete. You could definitely chalk Hancock up as the best playmaker in the county.

Jon Faletra - 2024 - OL - River Ridge

Massive prospect at 6'4 325 that holds some FCS offers. Faletra is a physically overwhelming force that has position flexibility and moves decently well. He has extremely heavy and powerful hands. He has great timing and location on his punch. When he shoots his hands, the sheer power is enough to knock defenders off-balanced, if not knock them to the turf entirely. He does a good job of locating defenders as he is chugging downfield and will level anything in his path.

[player_tooltip player_id='411240' first='Austin' last='Guest'] - 2025 - QB - Creekview

Dynamic QB prospect with starting experience under his belt now. Guest is one of the best runners at the QB position in the state. He has really good burst, vision, and is not afraid to seek contact if it means fighting for extra yards. He has a lot to like as a passer too. He definitely shows the ability to make some touch throws and also throws a good ball on the move. Guest is in general a very good athlete, but I think his marksmanship might be a little underrated.

[player_tooltip player_id='942506' first='Tanner' last='Savasir'] - 2025 - QB - Cherokee

Showed some flashes during his first year as a starter and could be in for a breakout 2023 season. Really smooth QB prospect that throws a good ball. He throws off a good base and can mix up trajectories to make all sorts of different throws. If you give him time to sit back in the pocket and survey, he is capable of making every throw on the field. Savasir has improved each time I have watched him, which is a great sign when it comes to evaluating and projecting players.

5 Intriguing Sleepers

Pierson Sears - 2024 - OL - Creekview

Intriguing OL prospect that absolutely deserves a mention. He has years of starting experience under his belt and is finally starting to receive some buzz on the recruiting trail. Sears is extremely athletic with strong, sturdy arms. He delivers his punch with jarring force to knock defenders off-balanced. He is also a very good athlete with a nice pass set and has the ability to navigate around the field in a hurry. Sears will be a valuable piece both on the field and in the locker room for any program at the next level.

Javon Hobson - 2024 - DL - Cherokee

After turning on the tape, Hobson immediately caught my eye and started to rise up my board in Cherokee County. Hobson has the versatility to play multiple positions on the defensive front. He sets the edge nicely as a defensive end and can create chaos on the interior. Hobson has a high motor and works very hard to get off blocks. His overwhelming physical presence and strong arms allow him to rip through blockers to free himself up. He has decent lateral quickness which allows him to move across the face of blockers and sit in running lanes. He holds 1 DII offer, but I think he could definitely hold his own at a higher level.

Vinny Pacini - 2024 - S - Etowah

Pacini is a true strong safety prospect that plays a very key role in the Etowah defense. Pacini is all of 6'2 195 and looks even bigger than listed. He is very physical and can pack a strong punch at contact. He has a knack for getting to the football, showing the ability to stay focused as he navigates through traffic to get to the ball carrier. To go along with his tackling, he also shows the sneaky ability to read the QB and jump routes to pick off the ball. With his size and physicality alone, he needs to be on some recruiting boards out there, especially for some FCS-level schools.

Taiwo Ogundele - 2025 - LB - Sequoyah

Very productive LB prospect that still has his best football ahead of him. He has good speed and a nose for the football, meaning he can cover a lot of ground and takes good tackling angles. Ogundele plays a lot bigger than his 5'11 180 frame as he is able to separate from blockers as well as make physical plays on the football. He is a very sound tackler, launching his shoulder into the hip and using his legs to drive the defender to the turf. Ogundele might be overlooked, but he could be a tackling machine at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='971260' first='Xavier' last='Mahoney'] - 2025 - ATH - Etowah

Mahoney has played the QB position for Etowah since he arrived on the high school scene. While he has done some impressive things at QB, his upside as an athlete is something that plenty of coaches should buy into. Mahoney is an extremely explosive prospect that can weave in and out of running lanes very well. He is exceptionally hard to bring down. Once he finds green grass, he is gone once he hits his top speed. Someone will take a chance on Mahoney, and it's because he has outstanding playmaking ability and can do magical things with the ball in his hand.

Breakout Candidates

Nigel Agyemang - ATH - 2024 - Creekview

In my opinion, Agyemang is one of the biggest wild card prospects in Georgia. He has the measurements and athletcism of a P5 football prospect. However, he has only played football for a few years and is still learning the game. He has an extremely well-built 6'2 215 frame and looks like he could definitely hold his own physically, whether he plays at RB or LB. It's very clear that Agyemang is a good athlete with nice burst and agility. When he does get into the open field, he has a chance to break off a big play. Keep an eye on Agyemang. If the light comes on for him, he could be a massive steal.

Andrew Burmeister - LB - 2025 - Woodstock

Burmeister has had a solid year. He produced nicely as a sophomore and has also turned some heads this off-season. Burmeister is a consistent LB prospect that plays with a good base and with good balance. His lateral quickness allows him to keep the action in front of him and helps when it comes to taking angles on the football. On tape, you can also see that he has the ability to play well in space and run with some faster receivers. With another solid season, his stock as a recruit should rise.

Camden Cox - RB - 2026 - River Ridge

Cox was quietly one of the most productive freshman RBs in the state last season. However, with another solid season, it will be hard to contain the secret for much longer. Cox is a hard runner that is able to absorb contact pretty well. He is light on his feet and moves very naturally, flashing the ability to weave around defenders without losing much speed. As he develops more strength and gets more reps, his stock will only continue to rise. He is certainly a 2026 RB you need to be aware of.

"Can't-Miss Games"

September 1st: Cherokee at Woodstock

September 8th: Cherokee at Sequoyah

October 6th: Creekview at River Ridge

October 13th: Sequoyah at Creekview

October 27th: River Ridge at Etowah
