About Austin
Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Guest is a touchdown machine on the ground and in the air for Creekview. He has contributed since his freshman season and will be a 2500+ yard career rusher when all is said and done. Guest is still developing as a passer, but he has the ability to tightrope balls into tight coverage and make “wow” throws while on the move and off-platform. He needs to be talked up more as an athlete. We clocked Guest running a 3.94 shuttle before his senior season, which is wicked and puts him in rare territory. There are more indications of speed and explosiveness as well, squatting nearly 500 pounds and being clocked running as high as 4.57 in the 40.

, he has led Creekview’s rushing attack in the early part of the season. The Grizzlies are 2-0 with wins against Calhoun and North Forsyth. Guest is plenty capable as a passer, but his legs are where he continues to differentiate himself. He is one of the most explosive athletes in the state, and pairs that with breakaway speed, making him a TD threat when he pulls to run. Guest has some small-school offers and is on D1 radars. I believe he can stick at QB, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see some D1 programs intrigued by his promise as an ATH.

is a well-covered prospect at this point, making an impact on varsity for Creekview since his freshman season. He showed a lot of what we already know about him on spring tape, flashing underrated arm talent and spectacular athleticism for a QB. However, it looks like his mechanics are starting to come full circle, throwing off a cleaner base more consistently and working downhill when throwing on the move. He has the ability to make some eye-popping throws, getting the ball behind safeties while off-platform and on his back foot. He is deadly accurate throwing on the move, and is often schemed up those chances. Guest has performed well on the camp circuit this offseason and is generating more buzz right now than at any other point in his recruitment. It’s a matter of time before his first official offer comes.”
Guest just added offer 1 from Reinhardt.

It’s well-documented at this point, but I have always been a fan of

. He is elite with his legs and is a threat to move the chains on any snap, regardless of down and distance. He has always had arm talent and possesses the touch needed to make eye-popping throws. However, it looks like he has started to clean up his mechanics. His base is becoming more steady, allowing him to throw the ball with a tighter, more consistent trajectory. I think coaches will enjoy watching Guest throw this offseason. Everyone I talk to shares the same opinion as me, Guest is a D1 talent at QB.

Guest has contributed on varsity for Creekview since his freshman season and offers an intriguing skillset and well above average athleticism at the QB spot. Guest possesses a lower to the ground 5’11 185 build, almost built like an RB. His running ability is the basis of intrigue around him as he is coming off a 1,000 yard rushing year. He plays the read option game very well and does a good job of driving his feet and following blocks as he climbs across the line of scrimmage. He possesses the vision as a runner that we don’t often see in QBs, frequently dancing around would-be tacklers to create his own yards and find new running lanes. He is still refining as a passer, but he has flashed the ability to make impressive throws across his body and off-balanced. He can also attack the middle of the field confidently, something that seems to be a dying art nowadays at the college level. He has a compact delivery and gets the ball out in a hurry. Some coaches might like what he has to offer at a different position thanks to his playmaking ability with the ball in his hand, but I still think he holds D1 upside as a QB.
