When he graduates, Mizysak will exit Creekview as a 4 year starter and key piece on offense. You have to be physical to play on offense for Creekview, and that part of his game turned a corner last fall. He has filled out well to this point, now listed at around 210 pounds. He competes as a blocker while possessing enough athleticism to be trusted as a playmaker down the field. Mizysak is perhaps the unsung hero offensively for Creekview, but coaches wanted to make sure he was highlighted.

is an excellent player who I have covered for some time now. He’s not just outstanding on the gridiron but off the gridiron he is top notch also. Lately, Mizysak has been showing what he can do and showing ways he is a great asset to his team. Despite coming off an injury that has forced him to adjust to the field again, Mizysak has overcome in many ways the possible self-worry. No need to worry because Mizysak is looking strong, very hard to cover and a very solid asset in certain situations only Mizysak can execute. He’s a complete mismatch for any defensive back and has the speed and agility to out play a linebacker. He’s been strong in the blocking game and has been showcasing his strong and consistent hands as well. I’m super excited about how Mizysak Jr. finishes his season and I expect him to have a massive senior campaign next year. However, he is displaying a terrific season so far this year. Big-time player here!
He is at his best when he is running a flat route based on an RPO. He has solid speed and size, and is a great option for 12 personnel. He has been developing well as a player and has another year to improve with Creekview.
Derek Mizysak Jr is a receiving archetype TE that could be on the verge of a breakout sophomore season. At 6’1 190, he might eventually flex out as a true WR, but he is growing exponentially and plays bigger than his size. His smooth, natural hands seem to be the basis of intrigue around him, showcasing the ability to pluck the ball away from receivers and reel in passes in stride. Mizysak can stretch the field at TE and is a space eater. He should produce some on varsity this fall and will only get better as his career progresses.
