Unlike the rainy weather outside, the camp inside the bubble was hot and nearly 90 middle school athletes from various states got a ton of work in. The quarterback group, as has been the care at every PRZ Next Camp we’ve run, was very good. There was a lot of talent from multiple states that competed all camp long. Here’s a look at the top performing quarterbacks from the camp.
When talking about the best quarterback’s at the PRZ Next Rising Prospect Camp in New Jersey, what better place to start than with MVP William Wood William Wood 6’2″ | 195 lbs | QB Xaverian Brothers | 2027 State New E out of Massachusetts. If you’re a frequent visiter to this site, it’s no secret that I’m a big fan of this 2027 prospect. At camp, he looked more polished and buttoned up than ever before. I had multiple college coaches who worked the camp, come up in disbelief at his ability. Arm strength is through the roof, was hand-timed at a 4.5 and 4.7 in the forty and his leadership was palpable. Someone better offer the 6-foot-2, 185-pound incoming freshman at Xaverian Brothers ASAP.

I was beyond fired up when I saw Bullock signed up for the PRZ Next Rising Prospect Camp in New Jersey. The New Jersey native had a tremendous day from start to finish. Along with William Wood William Wood 6’2″ | 195 lbs | QB Xaverian Brothers | 2027 State New E , the pair of 2027 prospects were in a class of their own at the quarterback position. Bullock is a big kid that almost looks like a defensive end or linebacker at 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, but when he throws the ball, it’s a thing of beauty. Can spin it with some zip when needed but also knows when to put touch on it. He had great command throughout the day. Just as his older brother, former three-star and now current Akron quarterback Tahj Bullock did, he’ll be at St. Peter’s Prep next year.
Fassberg was a very nice “surprise” at PRZ Next Rising Prospect Camp in New Jersey this past weekend. A native of New York, I heard rumblings of Fassberg having some ability and enjoyed seeing him live. Fassberg made the decision to reclass and will be at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey next year. His arm talent is what struck me the most at camp. Obviously well-coached and well-trained, he has a smooth release and throws a very catchable spiral. There is noticeable room for improvement from an overall athleticism standpoint. While he does a good job of standing tall in the pocket, he plays the position quite stiff–almost robotic at time. Loosening up a bit and moving more fluidly will only help him moving forward.

Future Don Bosco Prep student-athlete Dylan Wrona Dylan Wrona 5’11” | 185 lbs | QB Don Bosco Prep | 2027 State NJ had a nice day and looks to have come a long way since I last saw him play live. Wrona shot up significantly and measured in at 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds this past weekend. Physical maturation and a very successful season as QB1 of a championship-winning Pope John Jr. Lions team, seems to have fueled Wrona’s confidence in his ability. Has a very similar game to fellow 2027 standout signal caller, Simon Fassberg Simon Fassberg 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB Lawrenceville | 2027 NJ and a bit more athletic at this point. He’s nowhere near being a finished product and there’s always things to work on, but hopefully he’ll continue to make large jumps in improvement, like he did from last year to current day. Stay tuned.

The Westerly, Rhode Island native was a brand new name to me and he did some nice things at camp. Measured in right near 6-foot and 160 pounds with a thin, wiry frame that has a ton of room left for physical gains in the weight room. I don’t recall him catching my eye during the combine testing portion of camp, but he put up some sneaky-athletic numbers. A pair of 5.1’s in the forty (hand timed) and a best of 8’3″ in the broad jump, showing off some untapped strength in his lower half. During drills he was accurate but some of his deeper balls floated a bit. Again, hitting the weight room hard and improving his his full-body strength will do him wonders.
