As a star quarterback coming out of Saint Ignatius High School, this previous season showed just the beginning for this QB. Coming in as both a 6’2 185 quarterback, Frontino also excels athletically in baseball and is priority when it comes to versatility. With a really special arm Frontino’s specialty based off of this last season comes from his taking deep shots. By doing this Frontino times his throw right on the money to then lead to success from his receivers, allowing a quick catch and run. Frontino is extremely comfortable in high pressure situations from defenses and allows ample time in the pocket to let the play happen effectively. While this is just the start Frontino has already unlocked great amounts of potential that will be polished in seasons to come easily.
Anzlovar, showing his talent at St. Edwards High School, has extreme potential at the QB position. While Anzlovar already has shown extreme skill in his craft, the potential for even more is going to take him even further. Throughout the off-season Anzlovar has been polishing his throwing mechanics and has already shown on the field last season that accuracy is a significant strong suit. I am excited to see where he takes it next season, and just thinking this is just the beginning means there’s a lot in store for Anzlovar.
Highlights
Asher Wilson
Asher Wilson
Cleveland Heights’ own, Wilson has huge abilities so early in his career. Not only academically and being a two sport athlete, Wilson puts in ample effort at his position. Throughout this off-season Wilson’s main focus has been on communication. While in society it is often said communication is key, Wilson feels no different. As he has been sharpening his skills, he has been able to find slots and tight window opportunities to make big plays happen. In addition to his accuracy, Wilson has a no sack season he is coming off of as well as showed his excellent run game. I am looking forward to what Wilson will build into coming out of the Heights culture and where he will grow next season.
Jake LaVerde
Jake LaVerde
LaVerde, an all around athlete on both sides of the ball allows for those skills to shine through at the QB position. LaVerde’s size is a huge factor and asset of his playing coming in at 6’2. When noticing LaVerde’s game play, he has extreme success in his drop back passes. Response time is also huge for LaVerde, as his pass time is brisk and allows for less pausing and room for error. While his offensive line protection is solid, LaVerde is able to not take hits and make plays happen regardless of the situation at hand. When thinking about his double threat in the game, I think that LaVerde has a lot in store for him and a lot of key abilities that will take him really far in the next 3 years.
Markese Wise
Markese Wise
Wise, a standout in Harvey High School’s lineup has a lot coming to him in his football career. While his game play is just the beginning a couple key aspects make him different. His ability and persistence in polishing not only his throwing game but his run game as well is top tier. While wise wrapped up his freshman season I feel like he has a lot of building skills that in the next 3 years will only improve upon. Coming out of a high level organization at Harvey, Wise is for sure ready to take it to the next level.
