Week 2 Recap: Top Performers Who Shined on Offense

Jordan has serious speed, with a proven ability to stretch the field and be a deep-play threat. He is an explosive prospect, with good burst off the line-of-scrimmage and a good extra gear after the catch. He has also taken direct snaps to the house, flashing great home-run threat ability. In a big win over Lakota East last week, he had three catches for 209 total yards and two touchdowns. The Class of 2027 recruit rushed for 132 yards  - opening the season with back-to-back 100-yard games – and a touchdown on Friday against Licking Heights in a 34-21 win. For as strong as he is on offense, he is even better on defense, recording five tackles and a sack. He flashes a quick first step, explosiveness and great pursuit angles when used off the edge, takes great angles to opposing quarterbacks and can really wreck havoc on the backfield. College fit is very likely to be on the defensive side of the ball. Jones has a quick trigger, the ball comes hot off his hands. He is very good mechanically, staying in a good football position with good feet and always staying in position to throw. Jones displays good touch on the deep ball and the ability to make tough throws with defenders in his face. Middleton, a starter at left tackle, displays great first-step quickness, great use-of-hands, great strike timing and ability to take defenders for a ride. He gets great vertical push at the line-of-scrimmage as a run blocker, driving his feet on contact. I see him as a Major Division I prospect down the line, especially after seeing his senior tape in Week 2.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
