It is not easy to rank JV players due to the upcoming change in competition level, but all these guys have clear traits that are recruitable and could end up at the next level. Most of these kids form the CHSFL JV league due to the fact that it is the most competitive JV league in New York. Because the transition to varsity is not easy to project, and the outcomes can lead to inconsistent results, some of these guys could jump way high up the rankings with strong seasons. Either way, their JV careers are in the past and are names you should watch this fall.

McCaskill definitely is undersized but has legitimate elite speed. McCaskill is a smooth runner who finds running lanes well and does a good job of making quick cuts upfield to maximize yards gained. A really solid prospect, with all these transitions up a level it is hard to project players ability but McCaskill is a name to watch.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["805581"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='805581' first='Tavion' last='Byrd'] is a really promising young quarterback prospect out of Rochester and has some really solid recruitable measurables. Byrd is long and lean and has some really impressive arm talent. Byrd will be the engine of a UPrep offense that has a ton of playmakers. Byrd is in for a big season and could be a name that blows up this fall not just because of his measurables and skillset but the potential to be the most potent offense in Rochester with several talented playmakers by his side.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["514952"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"In terms of production, there were not many who matched [player_tooltip player_id='514952' first='Michael' last='Dietrich'] for Chaminade. Dietrich has had a strong offseason with a strong showing at the Elite V showcase and the WR could easily become Chaminde's top target. Dietrich is a smooth athlete with good measurables and all signs indicated that he will have one of the smoother transitions to Varsity out of players from this list. Just as the case with McCaskill a strong 2023 from Chaminade was a roadblock for earlier varsity reps.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["528737"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='528737' first='Levi' last='Altshuler'] was one of the most impressive JV quarterbacks in New York last season. Altshuler does a good job of working in rhythm and is a really quality pocket passer. As an athlete Altshuler is not a huge threat with his legs but does have the athleticism to move in the pocket and adjust making throws on the run.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["452167"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='452167' first='Matt' last='Davitt'] has elite speed and one of the most transferable traits to a higher level is speed.
