Brady Campbell
Brady Campbell
Campbell is a linebacker that plays with speed and can come fill the hole quickly, stopping the ball carrier in his tracks at the line of scrimmage. When playing at the line he is able to use his speed and quickness to beat linemen, getting hands off and putting pressure on the QB, bring the QB down for a sack or causing him to get rid of it. He has a motor and does well in pursuit, chasing the ball carrier down from the opposite side at times. When he drops back into coverage he takes the intermediate passes away and rallies up to the underneath stuff. He shows good hands as well, being able to come away with a couple of interceptions. Campbell will be an under the radar guy to keep an eye on.
Brandon Stout
Brandon Stout
Stout is a read and react linebacker, reading his keys then coming up to make a play. He has good vision and feet being able to navigate around blocks and make a tackle for no gain. He does show the ability to make tackles in the open field, attacking and not sitting back waiting for the ball carrier to make a move. At times he is able to get to the ball carrier and punch the ball out, creating short field opportunities for the offense. Can show some shiftiness at times, bursting to the line and meeting running backs in the hole. He can also hit home on the blitz at times as well.
Abeyta is a player that can affect the game at receiver as well as in the return game with his big play explosiveness. In the return game he has good vision and is able to setup his blocks, getting in the open and taking it for a house call or being able to flip the field for his team. He brings that same speed and explosiveness to the receiver position. When you watch the tape he plays mostly on the outside but can be utilized as a gadget receiver, running end arounds and a lot of screen passes to get him in the rhythm of the game. Will be a player to keep an eye on from the standpoint of being able to impact the game in multiple ways.
Highlights
When you turn on the tape, Jones jumps out as a true duel-threat QB that is shifty in the pocket and can elude tacklers making throws on the run. He has good pocket presence and keeps his eyes down field, quickly scanning to find the open receiver and delivering a strike. He is able to move the pocket with his feet and excels at intermediate throws. When he hits his drop and drives off of his back foot he shows nice arm strength as well as touch on deeper throws. When he escapes the pocket and takes off he has the speed to out run the front 7 and can pick up chunk yardage on the ground. He is a under the radar player that will have a chance to raise his stock this season.
From the tape Dickey is a quarterback with a lot of arm strength and can push the ball downfield. He shows some good touch on the deep ball, putting air on his passes and letting the receiver run under it. He is tough to bring down and is able to elude pass rushers in the pocket. At times he is able to pull the ball down and take off, breaking tackles and picking up chunk yardage. He is also has the arm strength to be able to fit the ball into tight windows, fitting it in right over the linebackers so that his receiver can make a play on the ball. He is a player that is flying under the radar but will have a chance to improve his stock.
Jackson is a player on the radar, who has the skill set as well as the talent to be the top corner in the state. When watching his tape he shows great vision not falling for double moves and looking through the receiver to the quarterback. He is able to react and break up the pass or taking it the other way. He can get hands on and bump receivers off of their routes and has the speed to stay hip to hip with them, playing through the receivers hands when they go for the catch. He is not afraid to make a hit and at times, he is able to shed blocks and come up to take the ball carrier down for little to no gain. Will be a lock down corner to watch this coming season.
