The 6'3u0022 190 lbs sophomore brings a dangerous dual threat ability to the field, and we got a glimpse of it on Saturday at the Prospect Tour in Franklin, WI. AJ blazed a 4.60 40 time, broad jumped 10', and had a 7.5 L-Drill. All of which were the best among the QBs. The testing results had me excited to see what he brought to the table as a passer. No question he has the talent to be a next level signal caller. AJ already possesses a strong arm. The arm that can deliver the ball through tight, closing windows at the middle and deep portions of the field. He gets the ball out of his hand quick, and his control and pinpoint ball placement in the one on one battles was drawing rave reviews from the coaches in attendance. The underclassman was a 2,800+ yard passer last season. The sky is the limit for him over these next two seasons. Great day for the sophmore.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643dc8ad8c041"} /-->

The 5'9u0022 170 lbs athlete is just beginning his development and growth physically and at the QB position. It was great to see him quickly take to the coaching and reap the reward of being coachable. He made throws that relied on accuracy multiple times. His performance sent me to look at his freshman tape for the first time. I came away impressed with his poise and patience in the pocket. He keeps his eyes down the field, doesn't panic when things aren't open right away, and that same accuracy again showed up. I'm excited to follow his growth and development over the next three years.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643dc8ad8c0a2"} /-->

It is great seeing kids showcase to showcase because the strides and growth is quickly apparent. Gabe is up to 6' 160 lbs, and it was good to see that the ball is leaving his hand with more velocity than it was the last time I saw him in person. While that arm strength continues to develop, Gabe is able to rely on his accuracy. Accuracy that allows him to slice up defenses in the short to intermediate levels of the field. It was great to see that he has been putting in the work.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643dc8ad8c0f5"} /-->

He will be looking to take over the starting job this fall, and based off what we saw Saturday it looks like he has the tools to succeed. Lopez has the necessary size and then some at 6'4u0022 200 lbs. Landon is a raw prospect, but his arm is going to excite and catch the attention of the next level. Landon was pushing for strongest arm of the day. He put the ball all over the field with ease and with velocity. Where he is raw is in his footwork, but I have very high hopes for his potential because he turned the coaching he received into action and instant results. The big man is coachable, has a live arm, and the size to succeed. I have a feeling he is going to breakout this fall.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643dc8ad8c148"} /-->

Brock is putting himself in position to earn the open job this season for Wilmot Union. He spent his sophomore season playing varsity LB, but he is looking to make the flip to offense. Brock looked solid on Saturday. He isn't the biggest kid, but he has an over the top throwing motion that gives him a high release point. He is also able to get behind the ball and get some zip on it. Most Importantly, Kibler was able to drop the ball into the basket when he started throwing to receivers to end the day. I'm watching closely to see if he takes over the job in his junior season.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643dc8ad8c199"} /-->

While he lacks size, Mariano had the coaches working with QBs in one on one battles hyped. He has quick feet and a quick release. His pinpoint ball placement jumped out from the crowd. He was dropping it over his receiver's shoulder, placing it right over defenders, and making sure only his man had a chance to haul it in. His performance resulted in him getting one of the three Best of the Best reps. St. Cat's is looking for their next QB.
