It is great seeing Grayson tearing it up on the field in his senior year. He has always been one of the top talents at the position, but now we are seeing the production show up on the field and in the W column for his team. In their Week 6 win Grayson put on a show. He let it rip downfield multiple times with his strong arm. The senior did a good job of looking off safeties and going from one option to the next if things weren’t open. It takes poise to have that patience to work across the field with your eyes, and Grayson is doing that. The QB also showed that he could deliver the ball without getting his feet set because of his strong arm. Most importantly, Grayson is doing well with his ball placement and accuracy so that his man can and run or catch it while avoiding a big hit. Give one of the top QBs in the state a look.

Grayson is now the starting QB at Bradley Tech, a change from his former school Brown Deer. Grayson got things rolling in Week 1 as he helped his team to a 1-0 start. He and Tech take on Milwaukee Bay View tonight at 7 pm with their sights set on going 2-0. Having an arm like McCain’s in the backfield is a huge bonus. He has the talent to force a defense to cover so much of the field on every snap. In Week 1 Grayson showed off the ability to accurately throw on the run and get throws off from awkward platforms that still found their target. The senior signal caller did a great job using his mobility in Week 1 to buy time, keep his eyes downfield, and fit the ball into tight windows. Don’t sleep on one of the best in WI at the QB position.

I have to believe it is a matter of time before a team extends an offer to the QB out of Brown Deer. Grayson has so many traits and tools that win at the next level. First off, he has the size at 6’4″ 200 lbs. The incoming senior puts in the work too. His mechanics have gotten better and better every time I see him. Now he is able to create so much velocity because of that strong arm, but also because his entire body mechanics help create force that goes into the ball. Grayson will open up the entire field with his arm strength and his accuracy will be key to putting up points. McCain looks the part and always seems to grab attention at camps. Be the first to extend the offer.

There are a lot of similar building blocks and traits between these top prospects. Another athlete with them is

. The size is there in the 6’4″ 200 lbs junior. The arm strength is college quality. I have seen him on tape and at camps. The ball jumps out of his hand so effortlessly. Even when the play breaks down and he is scrambling around and directing traffic the QB is able to let it rip. The poise stands out on tape too. Grayson can beat defenses in rhythm, when pressured, or when the play breaks down. Make sure you have this kid on your radars.

Grayson is a Prep Redzone WI Showcase veteran. It has been a great chance to see how he has developed over the year. McCain’s game has continued to improve since this spring. His already big, strong frame looks even bigger than this spring. The arm has continued to strengthen as well. Not only does McCain look like a high end QB prospect, the arm talent matches. He made throws to every level of the field, could put it anywhere on a frozen rope so he could fit it into tight windows. Grayson has developed the ability to throw from awkward angles, and on the move. His feet looked smooth and were able to quickly set and move with his eyes. This is one of the top talents at the position in WI.

Grayson is a fun and exciting prospect to watch on tape. He has the exact size you look for in a pocket passer at 6’4″ 190 lbs. With that size comes a strong, next level arm. Grayson can threaten a defense at all three levels with his ability to hit closing windows before DBs can get in the passing lane. The signal caller has a prototypical throwing motion, and the ball jumps out of his hand. Looking at his accuracy, McCain does a god job of placing the ball where his man can get it without risking an INT or PBU. The highlights also show that Grayson can turn down the heat when he needs to and use touch over power to drop the ball in a bucket. Grayson is raw, but we could see a big jump this fall, and he should turn heads with his arm at camps.

Grayson began a streak of QB MVPs here at the PRZ WI Showcase by winning the honor for his second straight camp. On top of his great throwing performance Grayson also put up impressive testing numbers with a 4.81 40 time, 4.5 shuttle, 8’8″ broad jump, and a 7.72 L-Drill. It was a great way to start off an important summer of camps. The link to his full breakdown is below.

Grayson is a raw QB prospect, but he has plenty of talent to harness and mold. He has been putting in the work in the offseason, so I will be looking forward to seeing the improvement he has made since the Winter Showcase. His big arm, huge frame, and solid mechanics will grab a lot of attention. If he can continue to prove his accuracy then we will see McCain really pick up steam on the recruiting trail over the next two seasons. I’m very excited for a breakout performance from Grayson.

QB1 in the Class of 2025 ended the day as QB1 of the Prep Redzone WI Showcase. Grayson caught the eyes of coaches ins o many ways. For starters, the young man has an elite frame. Already standing at 6’4″ 190 lbs, McCain has size that you dream about at the QB position.
Then you get into his talent. For being a sophomore, the mechanics of his game are sharp. He has a smooth, consistent throwing motion that got the ball out of his hands efficiently. His footwork was smooth, and he was light on his feet. McCain was also able to use that big frame to generate a lot of velocity on the ball when he attacked the deep third of the field. Most importantly, despite playing with WRs he had never played with Grayson was an accurate passer all day long. He hit kids in stride at every level of the field.
A final thing that Grayson did to stand out was he was coachable. Multiple times I watched a coach talk to him about a piece of his game, and then on his next rep put it into action. Having that openness to learn and grow was great to see, and has me excited for his future.
