Many of them tested well, and when we got to the one on ones we witnessed the top athletes really step out from the crowd. Let’s dive into the most noteworthy performances of the day.
The first standout from the group was junior WR Ryan Ferguson Ryan Ferguson 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Germantown | 2024 State WI out of Germantown High School. The 6’2″ 180 lbs athlete tested well with a 4.85 40 yard dash, 4.47 shuttle time, and back to back 9’6″ broad jumps. That short area burst was on display in the one on ones. The big target was able to release off the line and get to top speed quickly. From there the long strider was at his best when he went deep down the field and used that big catch radius to go and get the ball over defenders. If you go over to his highlights you will see a lot of the same. A big target that stretches the field and wins by attacking the ball in the air before defenders can get to it.

A breakout player from the day was the junior receiver/H- back out of Verona. The big man checked in at 6’2″ 210 lbs, ran 4.81 in the 40, broad jumped an impressive 9’3″, and had a solid 4.5 shuttle time. All numbers that jumped out to me after the event. During the Showcase, Wes grabbed my attention when he started catching balls from the QBs. Despite his size, Wes was a smooth moving athlete. He showed off soft hands and has the speed to run underneath the deep ball. I had to go check out the junior’s film to learn more about him after the showcase and came away impressed with his impact as a blocker, and how physical he is after the catch. The got him the ball on a lot of underneath routes and let him gain the yards from there. He is an intriguing mismatch option at the TE/H-back position.
Wyatt further demonstrated his versatility on Saturday. I was predicting he would attend as a RB or DB. Instead he registered as a WR. The 6′ 200 lbs junior is the embodiment of a jack-of-trades. He proved to be explosive with his back to back 9’+ broad jumps. With his experience of playing all over the field, Wyatt is raw in the nuanced areas of his route running. However he caught my eyes with his ability to get deep and his reliable hands. Hamersma also tracked the ball in the air well. Wyatt further proved to be one of the state’s most versatile prospects this weekend, and is a name to know over this next year of recruiting.

One of the sophomores I couldn’t wait to get a look at was the big target out of Neenah HS. Schaefer didn’t disappoint. He is a long, lean 6’3″ 185 lbs. He runs 4.72 in the 40, and broad jumped 9’5″. Caleb also posted a 7.22 L-Drill time. That is an athletic profile to get excited about. His size and L-Drill time did a good job of illustrating the budding body control and change of direction the big receiver possesses. Caleb also checked off the expected boxes of being a big target who can wall off defenders from the ball. Where he surprised though is with his smooth route running. I’m excited to see the tape he puts out this fall when Neenah goes to the air.

Arguably the breakout player of the day for me was the Sauk Prairie WR. Boden checked in at 5’8″ 170 lbs. He ran a blazing 4.68 40, 4.37 shuttle, a pair of 9’7″ broad jumps, and a pair of 7.28 L-Drills. Frosch showed off a bit of everything you are looking for in a budding WR of his size. Quickness, speed, change of direction are all traits that give him success. I was impressed with his one on ones as well. The underclassman ran very sharp routes that opened up a lot of cushion for his QBs to target easily. He was able to go in and out of his breaks with no loss of speed, and it left DBs trying to catch up, and find him even at times. I’m very excited for Boden’s next few years of development. He had a great day.

The 6’5″ 200 lbs TE was one of the top prospects I couldn’t wait to see in person. Bork delivered on the reps that I watched. I first watched him when he ran routes against air. It was clear that the big target possesses well developing balance that allowed him to make clean cuts and breaks in his routes. Against DBs, Emmett was able to show that he had the strength to be able to get a clean release off the line, and he could get down the field and high point the ball before others could close in on him. Repeatedly, Bork proved to be the mismatch nightmare I expected. I’m looking forward to seeing if he can get onto the field on Friday nights this fall.
The sophomore WR out of Nazareth Academy in IL quickly grabbed my attention and kept it during the QB-WR time and one on one battles. When they were running routes against air, I got an up close look at the footwork James used during the breaks of his routes. There was very little wasted movements. Within 3-4 steps he was getting through his breaks without much loss of speed. His hips and overall balance allowed him to make sharp cuts at top speed. In the one on one battles, Penley maintained the sharp route running to create separation. He also did a good job of getting off the line quickly, and he snagged the ball out of the air naturally. Penley made it worth the trip north.

Bay Port HS was well represented at the PRZ WI Prospect Tour. Our second Top Performer from the school is WR Connor Chambers Connor Chambers 6’1″ | 185 lbs | WR Bay Port | 2025 WI . The WR clocked a solid 4.81 40 time, but even more impressive was he played faster when the action got started in one on ones. Connor looked his best when he was able to get down the field. Posts, corners, and go routes allowed him to use that straight line speed to pull away from DBs. Connor also demonstrated soft hands and the ability to make the awkward catches outside his frame. It was a solid day for the underclassman. Keep an eye on him as he continues to develop his game.
Christopher came out to the Showcase and proved why he is currently one of the Top 10 ATHs in the 2025 WI graduating class. He checked in at 5’11” 185 lbs, ran 4.75 on both attempts of his 40, broad jumped 9’8″, and had a 4.41 shuttle drill time. Those numbers were all some of the best among the group.
