Expert Analysis

Wyatt further demonstrated his versatility on Saturday. I was predicting he would attend as a RB or DB. Instead he registered as a WR. The 6′ 200 lbs junior is the embodiment of a jack-of-trades. He proved to be explosive with his back to back 9’+ broad jumps. With his experience of playing all over the field, Wyatt is raw in the nuanced areas of his route running. However he caught my eyes with his ability to get deep and his reliable hands. Hamersma also tracked the ball in the air well. Wyatt further proved to be one of the state’s most versatile prospects this weekend, and is a name to know over this next year of recruiting.

The first thing I’m excited to see when it comes to Wyatt is where he participates. Wyatt does it all for Berlin. He stands out at safety and RB. If he enters as a safety he will be in position to really prove himself heading into an important summer of recruiting. I will be watching to see how he matches up with the talented group of WRs in attendance. He has the athleticism to run with them. Proving he can be a man to man DB will further his value. Don’t sleep on the versatile junior.

The 6′ 195 lbs athlete has the talent to play a lot of positions at the next level. Wyatt plays with sub 4.6 40 speed, and a powerful lower body. As an RB, Wyatt has impressive instincts and vision. He patiently waits for his blocks to develop, has good awareness once he breaks through the line of scrimmage to avoid defenders and find second level blocks. The speed is there to go the distance. Wyatt is also used at receiver thanks to his soft hands. At safety, Wyatt possesses the range to be able to play all over the field from his 2 deep alignment. When asked to drop down over the slot, Hamersma has shown loose hips giving him the ability to change direction quickly. Wyatt will have a big year after 1,600+ all purpose yards in 2022.
