Prospects such as Che’Von Allen, Frederick Woodfork Frederick Woodfork 6'1" | 260 lbs | OL Imani Christian Academy | 2024 State PA , Markus Williams Markus Williams 6'3" | 190 lbs | ATH Imani Christian Academy | 2025 State PA , Deston Hubbard Deston Hubbard 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Imani Christian Academy | 2026 State PA , and Matt Fullmore are also worth watching. With this talented core, Imani Christian Academy should be able to make a playoff run and generate more scholarship offers for its’ underclassmen.
The fact that he received his first offer from Penn State during the summer of ’22 is a testament to his potential as a prospect. He excels at shedding blocks and getting in on the action, demonstrating a strong sense of awareness and positioning. He’s physical, has a great motor & is a intimidating blitzer. Burnett’s athleticism is equally as impressive showing great quickness & agility at QB.
Highlights
Davis is a consistent big-play threat, capable of creating explosive plays every time he touches the ball. It is fascinating to see him continually progress, as he continues to hone his skills and improve in real-time. He’s a formidable weapon in all aspects of the game, making him a dangerous player for opponents to face. Despite his youth, he has already received offers from multiple power 5 schools, including Penn State, a testament to his talent and potential.
Che’Von Allen
Che’Von Allen
Allen displays a tenacity on the field that’s belies his physical stature, playing bigger than his size suggests. His speed has noticeably increased between his sophomore and junior years, indicating growth and development as a player. Che is solid in the open-field, possessing the physical strength to execute solid tackles. He has sharp hip movement and can quickly change direction when tracking the ball. However, Allen could improve on his ball skills to become a more effective defender against the pass. Che’Von’s foot speed is already impressive, and he has the potential to keep improving all the way until the season begins.
Fred is a tough, dependable offensive and defensive lineman, who thrives on physicality. When run blocking, he has a knack for locking on to defenders and driving them back, finishing the play with authority. Although he could refine his kick sliding technique, his sheer strength often compensates for any weaknesses. On the defensive side, Fred is a high-motor player who attacks the ball aggressively, but he could improve his pad level when coming out of his stance. All in all, Fred’s potential to play at the next level is significant, and with continued development, he could become a force to be reckoned with.
Deston displays big playmaking potential on both sides of the ball. He has good size & speed at 6’0 170 pounds to contest deep passes at CB. He’s competitive and has good man coverage skills. At wide receiver he showed the ability to make people miss and find the holes in zone coverage and sit down. He has solid hands and doesn’t catch passes with his body. Deston definitely has the potential to develop into a D1 prospect.
Highlights
At 6’3 185 pounds Markus displays decent speed and agility running routes. He’s got reliable hands and a good frame to box out DBs on receptions. He‘s got adequate ball skills that allow him to catch TDs at WR and Ints on defense. He needs to work on playing at a shorter pad level to be quicker breaking on defense. I expect Williams to take a big leap at WR with another year of game experience under his belt.
Matt Fullmore
Matt Fullmore
Matt Fullmore is a sophomore OG with good size at 6’1 290 pounds. He is physical and moves well for his size. When he puts his weight behind a block, he can overpower the defender. He also has a strong punch that will improve with more weight training. Fullmore should be mindful of managing his bodyweight as he continues to grow and improve. Overall, I like Fullmores potential to develop into a D2 O-lineman.
