I have found over my years of plenty of 7v7 football, tight ends that play 7v7 football, usually have position flexibility and several on our list below are a hybrid between a WR or TE when we look at their next-level potential. This group also as a lot of size, as each of these TE prospects lines up between 6’3 up to 6’6.
So lets continue to punch the clock and meet my five favorite tight ends from this weekend at Back 2 Ballin with Iowa 7v7 at the UNI Dome.
William Graunke, TE, GameFace/Rockford (MN) (2024) Twitter
William is a well-framed hybrid WR/TE as his 6’3.5 frame could fill out well into the TE spot when he gets into the next level. William showed off a massive amount of strength with his hands this weekend as from the reps I caught William played with a aggressive knack with his catch radius to become a perfect 100% completion percentage this weekend. William plays with that edgy demeanor that assures physicality even in a longer frame that provides a big assurance blanket with his big hands and length in his wingspan. William is one from near my neck of the woods that I will be tracking this summer and fall as he looks like he has a college football future in my eyes.
Dax Judge Dax Judge 6'3" | 225 lbs | OL Iowa City | 2024 IA , TE, Fire Dragons/Iowa City (IA) (2024) Twitter
Dax showed off with his 6’3 225 pound frame with a noticeable size of his hands even from just a quick glimpse at one of his first catches. He also shows off an impressive blue-collar motor that has good depth with his stamina level within short/intermediate routes. With Dax, you have both sides of the ball position flexibility in his game. I like how active and quick his hands are on the defensive side of the ball with getting off blocks. He’s got some light development improving his zip off the snap, but I like the odds of Dax getting a handful of college football opportunities this summer at camps.
Parker Sutherland Parker Sutherland 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE Iowa City | 2025 IA , TE Fire Dragons/Iowa City (IA) (2025) Twitter
Parker was a first look tight end prospect for me this weekend as I quickly learned how deep City High in Iowa City is at the tight end position. Parker started as a prospect that passed the eye test with his 6’6 size, but this young man certainly has some football talent too outside of the eye test. Parker showed off huge hands and added fluidity with his catches making them smoothly thru contact. At this time, Parker might be one of Iowa’s best kept secrets in their 2025 class for tight ends, as I certainly see Parker as an easy match for a Division I football program in the future. We will have to wait and see the tape as Parker just took a unofficial visit to the University of Minnesota already yesterday.
DJ Vonnahme, TE/ATH, Carroll Chargers/Kuemper Catholic (IA) (2024) Twitter
DJ is the defined jack of all trades on the both sides of the ball, however my projection shows him as a hybrid tight end/wide receiver at the next-level due to his long 6’4 205 pound frame with plenty of room to add in the weight room. He has a bursty release point off the snap that he showed off at Back 2 Ballin this weekend but also before looking at his tape, looks like a prospect that would work his tail off as a blocker, which is where the TE projection lines up. However, I do like DJ’s ball placement when I watched him throw this weekend when he wasn’t in Carroll’s receiving core. Looks like a mid-level scholarship prospect that is a small town kid that will get on some radars this summer.
Ryan Lempke Ryan Lempke 6'4" | 215 lbs | TE Cedarburg | 2026 WI , TE, Primetime Athletics/Cedarburg (WI) (2026) Twitter
Ryan was a TE prospect I had just started to track from before Back 2 Ballin, but in my eyes he was one of the top 2026 prospects across the board at the UNI this weekend. He impressed with his younger age with his length he showed off, which you could certainly see it when watching his catch radius full circle. Ryan also showed some quite consistent fluidity within his route running especially on short and intermediate routes. No tape yet for Ryan, but based on what I watched this weekend from this 6’4 210 pound tight end, I think he’s going to be a good one to watch out of Wisconsin’s best region for football talent.
