The Iowa Hawkeye linebacker commitment did a little bit of everything Friday night, including punting and playing quarterback. If you haven’t heard, he’s a tremendous athlete, also starring in basketball and track for the Raiders. He combines that tremendous athleticism with toughness, strength and a high football IQ. He threw a touchdown pass in this game and locked down the middle of the Williamsburg defense from his safety position. It will be interesting to follow his career in Iowa City. His ceiling is as high as anyone’s in the Hawkeyes’ 2024 recruiting class.

Weisskopf is one of the state’s premier athletes, regardless of class. He’s committed to Iowa for football but could compete in basketball or track at the next level. He showed off his incredible athleticism with an early circus touchdown catch in this game, high-pointing a ball above multiple defenders in the end zone. It represented his 11th scoring grab of the campaign. He added another one later in the game, finishing with 8 catches for 164 yards and those two scores. He produced 4.0 tackles for loss coming into this contest. He’s likely a linebacker in college.
