Williamsburg had five different players throw a pass last season. Brown’s 114 passes were the most. The sophomore completed 47.0 percent of them for a team-high 778 yards and seven touchdowns against four interceptions. Brown rushed for 105 yards and a score, and contributed 11.5 tackles, 10 of which were solo stops. He also intercepted a pass and returned four punts. A 10th-grade highlight video reveals a signal caller comfortable moving around in the pocket and delivering the ball from different arm angles. Brown surveys the field well, working through his progressions in a timely manner. It’s a strong arm capable of pushing the ball down the field or fitting it through tight windows. Athleticism and speed keep open the door for Brown to develop at another position, but it’s worth keeping him behind center with time on his side.
