Jones at this point is the best route runner in his class maybe even the state. His 5’11 frame makes it easy for him to have a low pad level and shoulders when moving in and out of routes. In addition, he has the best tempo of route running that you will see in this class which in turn makes him the most sudden wide receiver in the state. Suddenness for wide receivers is a massive separator in terms of having the ability to consistently separate from the defensive back which Dez has shown he can do from the slot and on the outside.
Dez currently has 15 offers from Power 5 Schools and it’s increasing. Dez can separate himself from his contemporaries by continuing to work on his suddenness. He has another level he can tap into to take his overall game to another level.
MOST EXPLOSIVE
Brooks has been the best wide receiver in South Jersey since he’s been a freshman. In part because of his God-given movement ability. He’s special in the open field and once he gets ahead of steam it is almost impossible to catch him.
Brooks became a state champion this past season and picked up an offer from College Football National Champion UGA. South Jersey and colleges haven’t seen the best version of Brooks yet. And from speaking to a source close to Brooks he going to be a more complete and dominant receiver for the upcoming season.
MOST LIKELY TO PLAY IN THE NFL
Quincy Porter Quincy Porter 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Bergen Catholic | 2025 State NJ is the all-around package at the wide receiver position. In terms of size, speed, route running, and hands Quincy checks every box.
He burst onto the scene towards the end of the year knocking down putting huge numbers against almost Super Conference school letting all of New Jersey that he was making his case as the best wide receiver in the state.
Quincy gets the most likely to play in the NFL superlative for his unique blend of size, speed, athleticism, and trajectory. In addition, football is played at a time where receivers who look and are built like Quincy will always get the benefit of the doubt and garner the most patience from coaches in terms of watching them develop. The trends of football in terms of how it is played and who it caters to favor Quincy and if he can keep a great head on his shoulders and surround himself with people who want to see him grow as a young man and player. His track to the NFL will clearly be paved.
BEST HANDS/MOST ACROBATIC
Sahyne came on at the end of the year and made huge waves in not only South Jersey but made waves nationally with one of the best catches you’ll probably see at any level. Made it to number 4 on the
SportsCenter top plays list. That one catches however was just the tip of the iceberg. Sahnye’s highlight tape is filled with catches similar to that one and the acrobatics and body control shown while making these catches are absolutely absurd.
What separates Sahnye is not only does he make spectacular catches but his athleticism is off the charts. He’s earned four offers in the last two months and Power 5 schools are starting to be put on notice to his talent. Sahyne has a huge camp coming up and if he performs well in these camps his national exposure will go through the roof.
MOST UNDERRATED
Other than his coach, when the names of the top wide receivers in the 2025 class rarely do you hear Micheal Thomas’ name come up. However, if you look at his body of work, skillset, and list of COMMITABLE offers he may have the best all-around currently of any wide receiver in this class.
Before Sahnye Degraffenreidt Sahnye Degraffenreidt 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Atlantic City | 2025 State NJ ever made SportsCenter Thomas had equally as many highlight catches and better production. He plays in one of the toughest conferences in America. He is a very polished high school receiver in terms of route running and he’s with sneaky speed that he can consistently use to create separation.
Thomas is going to come into the 2023-2024 season hungrier than ever. I except for him to be in the conversation for best receivers in the state.
