(RB) Ashton Jones Ashton Jones 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Oakland | 2024 State TN (5’10 195) – Oakland
– Moving to Oakland for his senior year, Jones will have every opportunity to run the ball a lot and shine for the Patriots as someone that can find the end zone on a consistent basis. Jones is a well balanced runner with deceptive speed that can break loose and leave defenders in his dust. This Mid-Tennessee back isn’t the blazer as some others on this list will be but Jones has a nose for the end zone and the speed to breakaway from his opponents, which doing so on the Class 6A level will boost this guy’s stock into one of the top recruited backs in the state.

(RB) Eli Wilson Eli Wilson 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB MTCS | 2024 State TN (5’11 185) – MTCS
– Wilson is a versatile prospect that looks built for running back on the collegiate level but has the skill set to catch passes in the slot or be utilized on special teams in a variety of ways. Last year as a junior, Wilson had a breakout season as the Cougars main playmaker and that role shouldn’t change this Fall. His versatility is key to their offense but his speed and ability to make big plays is what places him on this list. Wilson has a knack for producing big plays and big yardage games, doing so in multiple ways. Look for this Murfreesboro area back to produce another big year then be in consideration for D2-Class A Mr. Football.

(RB) Malachi Cromwell Malachi Cromwell 5'8" | 180 lbs | RB Pearl Cohn | 2024 TN (5’8 170) – Pearl Cohn
– One of the fastest backs in the state resides in Music City and I believe Cromwell is still maturing with his body to where I think he will get faster as he gets older. This dude has some serious juice in his legs, showing on film the ability to find open creases in the defense by using his short space quickness then busting loose into the open field, consistently finding big gains or the end zone. Cromwell isn’t the biggest guy but he runs much bigger and doesn’t shy away from running between the tackles. If the Firebirds lean more on their run game this year, look for Cromwell to push his recruiting stock higher.

(WR) D’Arious Reed D’Arious Reed 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Pearl Cohn | 2024 State TN (6’0 180) – Pearl Cohn
– Reed heads into the summer camp season as one of the best overall playmakers and prospects from the greater Middle Tennessee region but his recruitment has yet to flourish. The Firebirds senior receiver is a bonafide playmaker that makes big plays from anywhere on the field and the exciting thing is that Reed is just touching the tip of his potential. Contested catches is something Reed is superb at but he can also use his excellent speed to break off defenders on the line and create separation into the open field. Sooner or later, Reed’s recruitment will explode because this guy is too talented to be left under the radar.

(WR) Charlie Becker Charlie Becker 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Father Ryan | 2024 State TN (6’3 195) – Father Ryan
– Tall and long with a wide radius and strong hands, Becker is one of the best receiver prospects coming out of the Mid-Tennessee region during this recruiting cycle and someone that is picking up steam on the trail the more weeks go on. Part of the reason for his recruiting ascension is based on Becker’s abilities to make contested catches, especially down in the red zone where his size becomes a problem for the opposition. Besides being a physically imposing presence, Becker is also a deceptive runner that brings good speed to the position along with the ability to score whenever he touches the field.

(WR) Boyd Brown Boyd Brown 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR FRA | 2024 State TN (6’2 175) – Franklin Road Academy
– Brown is one of the fastest wideouts not only in the Mid-Tennessee region but the entire state as well. A track star with nice height and length, Brown is a speedster that can find the end zone quickly whether that’s from a short gain or a deep pass. The Panthers senior receiver has the blazing speed to create separation off the line then dart past the defender, providing his quarterback an open target. Brown does need to keep getting bigger and stronger but the natural athletic tools are there to become an ultimate playmaker on the collegiate gridiron.

(WR) Jyrine Otey (6’0 160) – Centennial
– Many around the recruiting scene may not know too much about this Franklin area playmaker but let me tell you, Otey can ball and play with the best of them. This guy is a gamer that has natural athletic skills that many others do not and he is just now tapping into those ultimate abilities. Otey brings a variety of talents to the football field that are hard to control for the opposing team. He is fast and elusive with great feet but can also make tough, contested catches with his strong vertical jump.

(Ath) Ondre Evans Ondre Evans 6'1" | 185 lbs | DB CPA | 2024 State TN (6’1 190) – CPA
– No matter what side of the ball Evans plays on, this Mid-Tennessee product is one of the best players on the field every time he steps onto the gridiron. Sporting nice size, length and natural playmaking abilities, Evans has all the physical traits to play on the Power Five level and his offer list would definitely corroborate that. The Lions senior has track speed and along with size, Evans is a highly intriguing talent that has upside for both receiver and defensive back. Many schools are recruiting Evans for defense but if given the opportunity, his talents would shine on offense as well.

(Ath) Kamarion Ward Kamarion Ward 5'8" | 160 lbs | WR Lipscomb Academy | 2024 TN (5’8 165) – Lipscomb Academy
– If you’re looking for an under the radar talent with electric game breaking abilities and speed, Ward could be your guy. Playing a supporting role last year as a junior, Ward should be given every opportunity to shine as a full time starter this season and become that dynamic playmaker that the Mustangs offense will need. His speed is what sets him apart from everyone else on the Lipscomb Academy roster as someone that can take a short pass and turn into a score in the drop of a dime. He does need to keep getting bigger but Ward brings something to the table many don’t have and that’s elite speed.
