Every Friday during February through April, we’re going to throw on the tape and break down athletes across Oklahoma. Last month, we put out a tweet asking prospects in the 2024-2026 classes to send us their film for our Film Review feature. Over 150 responses later and we’re off to the races. We’ve reviewed 85 prospects all over Oklahoma so far and we’re not close to slowing down. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma every Friday for more breakdowns on athletes across Oklahoma.
If you’re not featured this week but have sent us your film, don’t worry! You’re on the list and will be covered in the future. Now, all of these breakdowns are based on the film we have access to. And this isn’t just a puff piece. While the majority of the breakdowns will be positive, it will also include areas to improve, question marks and more for the prospect to work on as we head into the spring and summer.

Braylen Danzy Braylen Danzy 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Union | 2024 State OK
Union is loaded with talent, and it seems like every time I watch film, I find someone new I hadn’t heard about before. Danzy has a good frame standing in at 6’2″ and weighs 170 pounds. An attribute that we don’t get to see much on film is their blocking ability out at wide receiver. I was able to watch plenty of film on Danzy and what I like about it is he doesn’t attack the defensive back quickly. He is patient and comes to balance before he engages with his opponent. Danzy knows how to find holes in the defense and where to attack his routes. He doesn’t wait for the ball to come down as she shows that he will go and attack the ball with his hands. Danzy tracks the ball well with his eyes and shows good body control. The area I would like to see him improve with is not being so high out of his breaks when he comes back to the ball and sticking his routes.
Next up on the film review is Caden Davis Caden Davis 6’0″ | LB Carl Albert | 2025 State OK out of Carl Albert High School. Another school that we can watch and always seem to find talent. Davis is a versatile athlete that plays on the defensive side of the ball. He can play inside linebacker or roll down and play with his hand down out on the edge. He plays the inside run well while reading his read key. As the offensive blocker comes to attack, he dips his shoulder and comes back to balance in making the play. Davis plays with an edge to him as he plays physically no matter where he is lined up on the field. I like him lined up out at the edge because he has a good pass rush. He is quick enough to beat you off the edge and shows a good counter when you quick step too fast as an offensive lineman. Davis will dip his shoulder back inside and counter his speed rush technique. We will continue to keep an eye out for Davis, especially being a 2025 defender, as we expect him to have a solid Junior season.
Noah Hoelzer
Noah Hoelzer
Hoelzer is our first 2026 linebacker to take a look at in this review session. What stood out to me with Hoelzer is he doesn’t wait, once the ball is snapped, he reads his key and is downhill in a hurry. He plugs the hole quickly and is physical at the point of contact in his tackling. We don’t get to see much physicality out of linebackers that much while being a freshman, but there is no hesitation in Hoelzer. I also like that he doesn’t show false steps when he makes his reads. It’s quick, and he just reacts as the defender. Hoelzer likes to play on his opponent’s side of the ball as he doesn’t allow the lineman to get a clean block on him since he makes quick reads.
The last athlete that we will take a look at for this week is Hill out of Tecumseh High School. Hill plays out at receiver for some plays and then lines up at wildcat quarterback and can do just about anything with the ball in his hands. Out at receiver, he has good body adjustment to the football. He tracks the ball well with his eyes and uses his hands to catch the ball. I also like he works back to the ball and will catch the ball at the highest point. When the ball is in the air, Hill is not afraid to go up and get the ball. When Hill lines up at quarterback, he runs a lot of counter plays and is patient for the hole to open. Once it opens, he gets downhill and shows good balance between the tackles. Hill is a 2025 athlete that will be fun to keep up with for the next 2 years to see where he could play at the next level.
