Because of his body control, athleticism, and ability to high point, he excels at winning 50/50 balls. He has a good feel for finding space and creating separation. Ty has good size, but as he continues to grow and get stronger, I see him being a wide receiver who can bully opposing off the ball and for possession when the ball is in the air. I’m excited to see what Austin can do with more time this fall.
TE Hunter Ogdan Hunter Ogdan 6'5" | 215 lbs | TE La Salle | 2026 State OH (La Salle) 6’4 190-There’s not a ton of tape on Ogdan yet, but what is there I like. Ogdan had some reps on the kickoff team. Rather than simply turning and running he back pedals and shows off really fluid hips for a 6’4 freshman. He turns and runs out of his backpedal with little effort needed. On his JVs offense he showed a strong ability and willingness to be a blocker. There’s not a lot of film of him in the pass game, but with his athleticism I don’t see getting open and being a pass catching threat being an issue. Like most freshman Ogdan just needs to continue to grow and develop.
QB Bryshawn Brown Bryshawn Brown 6'5" | 185 lbs | QB Winton Woods | 2026 OH (Winton Woods) 6’4 185- I saw Woods last offseason in a 7v7. He’s ever bit of 6’4 with a long and lanky frame. At that point you could see some freshman ups and downs, but the talent was very apparent. He has a nice fluid throwing motion. He has the athleticism to scramble to make a play as well. Brown is already starting to get some D1 interest due to his size and athleticism. The next few years of weight, strength, and technique development will tell the story of where his career goes. Lots of potential with Brown.
QB Joseph Ward Joseph Ward 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Withrow | 2026 OH (Lakota West) 6’1 165- Joseph “JoJo” Ward was a talented playmaker for the Firebirds JV team in 2022. He can hurt defenses with both his arm and his legs. In the run game he’s already comfortable with and skilled at running the read option. When he pulls it to run, he’s a threat to take it a long way when he gets to the perimeter of the offense. I think there’s a lot of room for continued growth in his throwing mechanics, but I think he has the arm strength and athleticism to continue to develop there. In the pocket he does a good job of feeling the rush and escaping, but he’s not afraid to deliver the ball in the face of the rush. Ty plays a mean deep safety to, as he times up throws and is a big hitter. As he continues to grow and develop, it looks like Austin could turn into another one of West’s many D1 prospects.
DB Armani Rogers Armani Rogers 5'9" | 150 lbs | WR Trotwood Madison | 2026 State OH (Trotwood Madison) 5’9 155- Rogers may not be very big in stature, but he plays big. Rogers is utilized in many different ways by the Rams. On offensive he lines up at wr. They use him to stretch the field vertically. Rogers has explosive speed that he often uses simply to run by defenders. He tracks the ball really well and has great body control that he uses to position himself to make hard catches in the air. When he gets the ball in his hands he’s not just fast, he’s extremely sudden. He darts and weaves in and out of defenders as he gains yards after the catch. Rogers also plays safety on defense where he uses his ball skills to make plays. His skill set favors that of an outside receiver, but his size would seem to go toward the slot. So we’ll just have to way and see. Wherever that is, I have no doubt he’ll make plays.
