In the last week alone he has received offers from Oklahoma, Ohio State, Washington, Michigan, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Tennessee and Colorado. George Eager Hempfield’s Head Coach had this to say about his lineman “Deyvid’s impact on defense is such a huge benefit because he’s so athletic and strong. He has the ability to play inside and outside for us which makes it tough for teams to game plan because they don’t know where he’s going to line up”. On film it is impressive how Deyvid can play inside and outside on the defensive line. One area Deyvid mentioned is he like to improve as a leader. Coach Eager had this to say about him as a leader “Right now, he does lead by example. He attends lifts and does work hard. I think his next step is to hold players accountable. This is hard for any young person because it can be uncomfortable”. Below is six questions I asked Deyvid recently.
Here is Q and A with Deyvid. Palepale is a returning starter at defensive tackle for Hempfield where he helped lead them to a section 1 Lancaster-Lebanon title.
1)I know you recently decided to stay at Hempfield instead of attending IMG Academy. Are you excited to finish your career at Hempfield?
I am most definitely excited to finish here at Hempfield. I have built a great, strong relationship with many here.
2) You continue to get a lot of Division 1 offers. Do you have any top schools so far?
I have thought about some schools that I’m for sure considering simply because of the relationship I’ve established. Some of those are Pitt, Penn State, Wisconsin and Colorado as of now.
3) Has the recruiting process been exciting so far or has it been more stressful?
I’d say the recruiting process is a roller coaster of emotions. Some days are easier than others, it’s overwhelming at times when all coaches ask to call/text at the same time. I just need to learn to balance my time.
4) What College Football campuses have you visited?
So far I have visited Louisville, Rutgers, and Pitt. I’ve gone to Penn State , and Temple for game day visits but haven’t gotten a campus tour.
5) Since you are so close have you visited Penn State a few times?
I’ve been trying to visit Penn state, it’s been really hard to get out to many places because of sports, school, and my parents work schedule. But I look to get on psu’s campus soon.
6) Coming off a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 1 title for Hempfield do you have any individual and team goals?
This season for us will be very interesting. Huge season last year but we’re losing a lot of production with the ‘23 class graduating. So for me, our team goal should be taking it one game at a time, no pressure, just going out and playing our best ball. Individually, I want to improve my leadership, and prepare to play at the next level.
Deyvid PalePale latest offer is below:
Here is Q and A with Zack Zandier Zack Zandier 6'5" | 230 lbs | TE Exeter | 2024 State PA of Exeter. Zandier is a returning a starter at tight end for Exeter. Last year Exeter won section 2 title in the Lancaster-Lebanon league and finished the regular season undefeated.
1) Can you talk about last season’s growth for you? You seemed to be used as a weapon in the passing game.
Last season I feel like I got more comfortable with being relied on more. I got a better feel for the game and how to show up in big games and just be a leader on the field.
2) You guys lost a lot of talent off of last year’s team. Is your Senior class ready to step up?
I feel like we still have a lot of talent. We just need to keep working hard on and off the field and be the best version of ourselves. We are definitely ready to step up.
3) What have you been up to so far in the off-season?
So far in the off-season I have been training a lot and I have been in the gym almost everyday.
4) Have you talked to any colleges yet? Any visits planned?
I have been talking to a few colleges and I just visited Pitt a few weeks ago and plan to be visiting more colleges in the spring.
5) Do you feel like you be more interested in playing on offense or defense in college?
I am definitely more of an offensive minded player and I love to catch the football and make big plays. So I would definitely choose offense over defense.
Zack Zandier Zack Zandier 6'5" | 230 lbs | TE Exeter | 2024 State PA went to Pitt for Junior day.
Here is a Q and A with Hayden Johnson Hayden Johnson 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Manheim Township | 2024 State PA of Manheim Township. Johnson is a 2 year starting quarterback for Township and helped lead his team to the District Championship game.
1) After last seasons success of making a district championship game can you tell me the vibes around the program?
Yes the whole mindset is definitely up after last year. Obviously didn’t go out how we wanted to and we know that’s totally in our control. We had a lot of high points but some low points and we can reflect on both of those. But yea, we have a good amount of confidence since we are returning a ton of starters this year.
2) How did it feel to avenge the Hempfield lose from earlier in the year in the playoffs?
2 Yes the redemption against Hempfield was amazing. Especially to win like that too, 42-7. It definitely was one of the highlights of our season, we prepared very well for that game and our coaches came up with a great scheme to counter their successes in the first game. Also our defense and oline played tremendous that game.
3) Have you talked to any colleges yet? Any visits planned?
Yes there has been some talks with colleges. Yes there are junior days that I’ll be attending and I’m looking forward to that.
4) After starting for 2 years and going into your 3rd year do you feel like you are the veteran in the group?
Yes I definitely feel like my role has increased even more from this year to last year, but I have so much help around me with the senior class that we have with a number of guys being such great leaders. I’m really looking forward to this season and playing with my guys.

I think our team is becoming more of a family and we will continue to embrace the grind
