In this post, I’m covering the 15U standouts for 2-way players out of this age group. Later on, I will be covering quarterbacks, defensive standouts, and skill players. We will have coverage of the 12U division later on in the week.
Jerrod Williams Jerrod Williams 5'11" | DB Heritage Hall | 2026 State OK – WR/DB – YAYO- Heritage Hall
On the first game of the day, I was able to watch team YAYO with Williams playing both wide receiver and safety. Williams was a starter for Heritage Hall, a 3A State Champion team, where he started for the whole season. At wide receiver, Williams displays good hands along with eye-hand coordination. He was solid with the double moves and set up the defensive back to get their hips turned. On the defensive side, he played well and was a ball hawk in the secondary for YAYO. He runs fluid and can change his direction quickly through his hips. Williams had a solid two days in the Sooner Shootout, and we look forward to seeing more of him throughout the summer and sophomore season.
Tahkari Bethel Tahkari Bethel 6'0" | WR Booker T Washington | 2026 OK – WR/DB – Sooner 7 – Booker T. Washington
I like everything about Bethel! He is a game changer on both sides of the ball at wide receiver and defensive back for Sooner 7 this weekend. On the defensive side of the ball, he played good technique and wasn’t trying to chase receivers all over the field. He uses a good jam at the line of scrimmage and takes away the inside down by the goal line. I liked watching his coverage skills on short and deep routes both days. At wide receiver, Bethel was high pointing the ball every time there was a jump ball. Majority of the time, he would come down with the catch in the end zone. Bethel will be an athlete to keep an eye on for the Hornets this upcoming season as a sophomore.
Emory Synder – WR/Nickel/OLB- Sooner 7 – Bixby
Synder has a long frame that he uses to his advantage, which helped him dominate for his Sooner 7 team this past weekend. Every jump ball or ball thrown high in his direction, it didn’t matter if he was on offense or defense, you could bet he was coming down with it. Synder played at nickel this weekend and didn’t disappoint, really on both sides of the ball. Synder is athletic and extends his arms to snag the ball out of the air. It didn’t matter if he was in man, or in zone, he showed good technique playing both coverages. Out at receiver, he ran good routes which helped him create space for his quarterback to get him the ball. Synder was a standout player that we will be keeping an eye out for this upcoming season.
Braden Nash – RB/OLB – 479 Elite – Bentonville West
Have to give a shoutout to Nash’s coach who coached 479 Elite this past weekend. He came up to me before they even played and told me to watch out for this kid, along with others. When I got to the field, it wasn’t hard to find him making plays out of the gate. Nash is a versatile athlete that you can find ways to get him the ball out of the backfield or at slot. He made several catches throughout the weekend and was a player for 479 Elite. On the defensive side, he made several plays out in coverage. He could cover their slot or help man up the middle of the field. Nash has a high ceiling for Bentonville West for the next several years.
Isaiah Wyatt – FS/WR – Red Wolves
Wyatt competed for the Red Wolves this past weekend at the Sooner Shootout, and I enjoyed him on both sides of the ball. Wyatt has a good frame which helps him roam the secondary playing safety. His range is what caught my eye in the beginning playing on defense while playing over the top of the receivers. He showed a good back pedal and looks fluid in his hips. He can make up ground quickly and played with good coverage skills. On the offensive side, Wyatt played with strong hands and was not afraid to go up and get the ball. There were several catches he made both days to help out his offense. Wyatt is a good weapon to have for both sides.
Cole Robbins Cole Robbins 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Durant | 2026 State OK – QB/Safety – C4 – Durant
When you take a look at Robbins it’s hard to imagine that he is only a current freshman. His body looks like someone that’s been in the weight room for a few years and is an upperclassman. At quarterback, Robbins threw consistently all weekend. He threw a good ball with ball placement for his receivers to catch. He made good reads and had a nice touch on his deep ball. What interests me is that Robbins is not only a quarterback, but also plays on the defensive side of the ball. I had to go look him up immediately to watch game film of him playing defense. At the shootout, he moves well out at safety and ended up with a few interceptions. He can read the eyes of the quarterback and it helps place him in the right position.
