PRZ PA StockUp Showcase – GameChangers: Linebackers

Today, we shift gears to the linebacker position where he had a shorter list of participants, however, it still was a quality group of linebackers which made it hard to pick who exactly we wanted to be our standouts. He's simply one of the most fundamentally sound linebackers in the state. He measured in at the showcase at 5-foot-11.5 and 213 pounds, a solid size overall. The junior linebacker possesses quality athleticism and should be able to improve on that end as well once he gets to a college campus. Kiersch has three-down linebacker potential, he shows a strong ability to play downhill against the run but can also play coverage against tight ends if needed. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2024</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='618745' first='Nicanor' last='Andrada Jr']</strong> - <strong>Butler</strong> | <strong>5-foot-9 , 193-pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While he's on the smaller side, Andrada was a good tester with a 4.82 forty-yard dash and a 9.9 broad jump. The Butler Township linebacker was one of our top performers after an impressive performance at the showcase. He's a smart, physical linebacker who shows quick read-and-react skillsets. Strong against the run and has the athleticism to be play in pass coverage as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2024</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='251458' first='Gavin' last='Pond']</strong> -<strong> Conwell Egan</strong> | <strong>5-foot-10, 192-pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pond is a linebacker that we are increasingly high on. He's got a combination of great size and athleticism. He ran a 4.74 forty-yard dash one of the highest of all our linebackers and recorded a broad jump of 9.4 in the process. On the field, that athleticism translates well, and is an all-around linebacker. He has the first step and speed to come off the edge to rush the passer but that athleticism also allows him to be a playmaker in coverage as well. Quite fluid hips that allow him to keep up with your more athletic and elusive ball carriers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2024 [player_tooltip player_id='606417' first='Zander' last='Coleman']</strong> - <strong>Hazelton</strong> | <strong>6-foot-1, 225-pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A nice-sized linebacker with the potential to add more size. Quality athleticism, fluid hips, and solid agility is how you would best describe Coleman as a player. On the field, he shows a high football IQ and has great read-and-react skills that allow him to be a factor in each and every play. Was overall really impressed with what he showed in the showcase and excited to see more of him next season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
