Marcus Harrison Marcus Harrison 6’8″ | 335 lbs | OL St. Francis | 2024 State NY is one of the most sought after players in all New York. Harrison is huge at 6’8, 315lbs and is sporting some major FBS offers. Harrison was one of the most dominant blockers in New York and was one of the key players in St. Francis’ dominant rushing attack. Harrison does a great job of playing with leverage and a low pad level for someone so tall. Harrison has great lateral movement and does a great job of using his fluidity as an athlete to get in dominant positions.

Ja’Meer Thomas Ja’Meer Thomas 5’10” | 170 lbs | WR Bennett | 2024 State NY is an incredible athlete and could be the fastest player in this class. Dominant on both sides of the ball Thomas is dangerous both with the ball in his hands and has a playmaker on the defensive side. As a defensive back Thomas is incredible talented in coverage. He stays in-stride with receivers down the field and has the speed and explosiveness to be very aggressive as a defender. On the offensive side of the ball Thomas’ speed is just too much for teams to handle. A really solid route runner down the field Thomas is a dangerous deep threat but also has the twitch and short area acceleration to create yards after the catch and gain positive yards in traffic.

Jahmir Pitcher Jahmir Pitcher 5’11” | 200 lbs | RB Suffield Academy | 2025 State NewE is the most physically gifted runner in New York. He does a great job of running through tackles at every level of the field and has the explosiveness and straight line speed to break any run for a touchdown. Pitcher not only was a great runner but is proved as a receiver with over 500 yards receiving from the backfield. Pitcher has some of the best production as both a runner and receiver and is one of the most important skill players to any team in New York. Pitcher’s ability to tuhe corner at top speed and get upfield so quick are D1 level traits.

Yasire Dejesus Yasire Dejesus 6’2″ | 220 lbs | DL Monsignor Farrell | 2024 State NY has incredible upfield burst and his explosiveness off the snap is so evident on film. Dejesus does an a great job of using a low pad level and violent hands to play through the offensive lineman’s initial punch. Dejesus also has incredible speed off the edge and can make plays from the weakside edge position on outside runs away from his direction. Dejesus is both well versed defending and diagnosing the run game while being a strong pass rusher with a strong arsenal of pass rush moves, closing speed, and finishing ability.

Aaron Roseboro Aaron Roseboro 5’11” | 180 lbs | DB Bennett | 2024 State NY is one of the best pure defensive backs in New York. Roseboro is very fundamentally sound and has really solid footwork and hip movement at the position. He is really solid in coverage and does a really good job of getting his head back to the quarterback and tracking the ball. Roseboro also has really solid awareness and skills at the catch point where even if not turned back to the ball, can make plays and break up passes.

Darrell Hamilton Darrell Hamilton 5’11” | 265 lbs | DL Bennett | 2024 State NY is one of the most physically strong players in New York. Hamilton simply defies how players over 265lbs should move. Hamilton moves like a linebacker but hits and dominates like a defensive lineman. His get off the LOS is so fast that most opposing lineman lose before taking their second step. Hamilton also shows on tape the ability to play in the trenches and be a high-impact player or line up as an off ball linebacker and dominate a completely different positions. Hamilton is easily one of the most intriguing prospects to watch and not many players had a better season.

Donald Jones Donald Jones 5’9″ | 165 lbs | ATH CBA-Albany | 2024 State NY played quarterback for CBA-Albany but he showed in their run-first offense that he is a dominant playmaker with the ball in his hands. Jones has elite quickness and some of the best jump cuts in New York. Jones explosiveness and short-area quickness are so impressive. Jones also was a really impressive defender who is solid in man-coverage and has great defensive instincts and reads. One of the most talented two-way players in the entire state.
Thomas Bacon Jr Thomas Bacon Jr 6’4″ | 215 lbs | TE Long Island Lutheran | 2024 State NY was a highlight reel player all season and his long frame, speed, and versatility make him a player you need to know about headed into next season. Bacon Jr is a smooth route runner who dominates at the catch point and is a vertical threat. Bacon Jr has the lower body strength and toughness to fight for extra yards and is dangerous over the middle of the field. Bacon Jr also has the versatility to line up as a tight end, in the slot, or out wide and be effective from all three positions.
Nick Souffrin Nick Souffrin 6’1″ | 190 lbs | WR Monsignor Farrell | 2024 State NY is one of the most talented receivers in the NYCHSFL and he excelled this past season against a schedule of high-level defensive backs. Souffrin has elite speed and does a great job of using his lower body quickness to win on routes at every level. Souffrin is a reliable receiver and has some of the best hands in New York. After the catch Souffrin is just as dangerous and does a really good job of getting upfield quickly. Souffrin’s strong season showcased that he is one of the top receivers in the state.

Slade Gonzales Slade Gonzales 6’3″ | 260 lbs | DL St. Francis | 2024 State NY is a very well-rounded fundamentally sound defensive tackle. Gonzales does everything well and has nearly no holes in his game. Against the run, Gonzales is quick to win with low pad level, has physical hands and can shed blocks, or can eat double teams and not get moved by multiple blockers. As a pass rusher Gonzales has shown he can win with strength or get by with speed and solid pass rush moves. Overall, Gonzales was a player who needed to be a part of our rankings as one of the best defensive tackles and defensive lineman in New York.

Hopeton James Hopeton James 6’2″ | 205 lbs | DL Holy Trinity | 2024 State NY is a really solid defensive line prospect whose breakout game came at the perfect time for Holy Trinity. The Edge defender has 3 sacks in the title game vs. Moore Catholic and their dominant offensive line. James showed an incredible motor and displayed the violent hands and physicality that every coach wants to see from their defensive line. James has really solid pass rush skills and has one of the highest ceilings in this class. Strong performances all season and a dominant performance in the championship make James a necessary addition to the rankings.
Highlights
Travis Carlucci Travis Carlucci 5’10” | 190 lbs | ATH Walter Panas | 2024 State NY filled up the stat sheet this past season with 29 Total TDs and over 2,000 all purpose yards. The RB/ATH was dominant with the ball in his hands and nearly unstoppable as a runner (10.7 YPC). Carlucci has elite speed and he is so direct with his running that he rarely gets even touched before he is 4+ yards down the field. On the edge Carlucci is a dangerous runner because of his ability to use his vision to find running lanes. Carlucci may lack some size at only 185lbs but he runs much bigger and more physical than his weight. Carlucci also had a really strong performance at the Prep Redzone NY/NJ showcase which only reinforced our evaluation on his strong season.
