QB | McKale McDowell McKale McDowell 5'10" | 165 lbs | QB River Rouge | 2025 State MI | River Rouge
McKale significantly raised his stock during Week 1 of the regular season. Against Cedar Springs with 5:45 remaining in the 3rd, McDowell entered a tied 0-0 game. On his first drive, he and the Rouge offense hit paydirt. McKale played lights-out and ended up leading River Rouge to a 22-0 victory.
Through games, camps, and other competitions, it became clear that he should be ranked very high during this update. A year ago, I wouldn’t have been too sure about McKale as a prospect. Now, he’s proved his worth!
WR | Jami Williams Jami Williams 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2025 State MI | Grand Rapids Catholic Central
During the 2021 season, GRCC had Notre Dame Commit Nolan Ziegler leading the receiving game. This 2022 season was the season of Jami Williams Jami Williams 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2025 State MI . Totaling 803 yards, 49 receptions, and 10 touchdowns, Jami proved to be WR1.
Although his stats are good, his tape is amazing. Jami is a deep threat and 1-on-1 nightmare, as he’s able to run great deep routes with good release. So many of his highlights are contested catches where he’s able to high-point the ball, leaving the opposing DB with no chance. Overall, I love the potential of Jami. He’s already an exceptional deep threat, and I hope to see some added elusiveness, speed, and short route-running next season!
ATH | Jake Chapman Jake Chapman 6'6" | 205 lbs | TE Unity Christian | 2025 MI | Unity Christian
Unity Christian just keeps reloading, and I’m extremely optimistic about the potential of Jake Chapman Jake Chapman 6'6" | 205 lbs | TE Unity Christian | 2025 MI . A lengthy 6’6 beast, Chapman played mostly as an edge rusher. At that position, he proved to be an incredibly instinctual athlete, a great pass rusher/block shedder, and a sound tackler with a huge radius. In less than a year, Jake Chapman Jake Chapman 6'6" | 205 lbs | TE Unity Christian | 2025 MI went from a name I’d never heard to the 49th player in the 2025 class. I expect Chapman to get involved with the offense a bit next season, and I hope to see more bulk on his body. This could be a future Division 1 Prospect.
ATH | Luke Johnson Luke Johnson 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Oxford | 2025 MI | Oxford
Johnson’s tape was incredibly impressive. On the surface, he doesn’t look like anything special. But his film shows one of the hardest and most relentless runners I’ve seen. I love his ability to fight through tackles and gain every yard imaginable and his overall aggressiveness. He has a good stiff arm, good vision, and overall plays to his strengths. I’m happy to rank Juke Johnson as the #55 player in the class, and I can’t wait to see what he’s able to go in the OAA Red next season.
