You’ll get a sense as to why he’s one of the most coveted RB/DBs in the New England area. Penn State is the latest Power Five program to add to his long list of suitors, a list that includes Georgia, Ole Miss, Va Tech, and many more. I’m happy to bring some insight to this kid’s tape, presumably the first in the nation to do so. Craig has five single-game tapes to his name, each showcasing what he provides Avon Old Farms out of the backfield. AOF wants to spread a defense out, AOF utilized Craig as the off-set back in shotgun sets. AOF makes sure they get Craig in space, dumping passes off to him in the flat or giving him toss opportunities where he can show off his acceleration. If Craig is one on one inside the red zone, you can trust he’s going to beat his man for a score. Awesome initial burst upfield, his acceleration ability forces defenders to play off his first gear, once Craig has kids where he wants them, he can chop his feet, break on a dime and make the first man miss. He’s got homerun-hitting speed to finish runs. Lateral cuts and agility are a plus. It’s tough to give a full evaluation on 5 freshman cut-ups, yet you can see that Craig eats in the minimal snaps he gets per game. We can’t even showcase how great of a DB he is because of the lack of tape at the moment. No rush, Power Fives already know it. This young man will place high amongst our new PRZNE freshman rankings.
Here’s a slippery sophomore back out of Loomis Chaffee that produced well for an underclassmen on a loaded roster. You might be surprised as a defender when you see him work through the trenches, Yes, he’s 5’9, 180 pounds soaking wet, yet one look at his ability to block in the pocket, or his reps at DB and you’d understand that Elijah Darity Elijah Darity 5’9″ | 185 lbs | RB Loomis Chaffee | 2025 State New E has some edge to him. Good blend of north-south and east-west running. Loomis Chaffee wants to get the ball in his hands with space to work with, yet Darity does what he can with his off-tackle runs out of shotgun sets. He can be trusted to catch the ball out of the backfield. He can provide COD ability early in his runs. Would like to see him finish off his splash plays with scores, that’s a nitpick to his game. Hoping he carves out a deeper role for himself at LC this coming Fall.

6’3, 280-pound freshman defensive tackle out of Taft Football. Sees success when lined up in either A-gap. Great pursuit of the football after penetrating the LOS. I see a great combination of leverage use and hand fighting to win reps. His tape starts with a ton of swiping to win against centers, later on in the tape you can find Okeleke eating up power, getting underneath pads, and winning with leverage. This kid is just scratching the surface in so many areas, it’s awesome to see him contributing so early. His height/weight combination and frame are going to get tailored to Taft’s liking, setting him up for future success. His technique will only improve. His production will only improve. An exciting player to watch develop.
Jackson Powell
Jackson Powell
Here’s a sleeper underclassman that is catching my eye. Although Powell doesn’t have a full freshman tape out, as well as many reps coming from special teams reps, his frame along with some quality DB and WR reps have me excited for his future at Hotchkiss. Powell has some receptions on tape, usually being utilized in out-breaking concepts. He’s showing he can be a red zone target too, especially standing at 6’4. Where he shines is at corner. I don’t see too many 6’4 corners running and hitting the way he’s provided on tape. Powell has a ways to go in terms of earning more playing time, yet for a freshman, he’s flashing big-time potential. Would love to see how he tests at camps this off-season.
Not too many sophomores can load up a Hudl with this much production. A 6-minute defensive tape, a 5-minute offensive tape, all showing off the complete skillset Jon Jon Morales displays on a weekly basis. You’re going to need to carve out 15-20 minutes of your time to get the full jist of what Morales Jr. provides Kent Football. Real hands at wide receiver, real balance, and vision at running back, Morales is the type of offensive weapon you don’t have to scheme open too much. Make sure he gets the ball in space and watch him work. COD ability is a huge plus. Can stop and start well. Can be utilized anywhere on the field, although much of his work starts behind the LOS. Yes, he’s undersized, yet you don’t see him shying away from contact when toting the rock. I can see him catching 40+ balls from his running back spot alone next Fall. If you are questioning his size/toughness, cut on his tape at corner. You can see him shed and set the edge when run-stopping. You can see him knife at ball carriers in the open field. You can see him match up with wideouts twice his size and still make plays on the football. The ball skills you see on offense translate to the defensive side of the ball as well. A lot to like about this young man.

Torre Veneziano
Torre Veneziano
Here’s another sleeper that I’ve got my eye on moving forward. 6’2, 240-pound freshman OG/DT Torre Veneziano could shape into a quality piece to the interior puzzle for Avon Old Farms, especially projecting into the future. Veneziano doesn’t have much tape to dissect on his Hudl, yet you can see the beginnings of what could be a proficient run-stopping/blocking interior presence. There’s a lot the young man needs to learn, a ton of development needs to be had, yet I have a feeling, considering AOF’s track record, that the program will get him in line this offseason. I’m interested in learning which side of the football his game is best suited for. Can he handle the ins and outs that come with playing guard at the highest level? Is he aggressive enough to wreak havoc along the defensive line? Time will tell.
