Arguably the best competitor at the camp, JonJon Morales Jr JonJon Morales Jr 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH East Coast Prep | 2025 State New E . showed up and showed out and proved he should be placed higher on the rankings, despite his already impressive top-150 placement. The Kent School athlete put on a full showcase of his abilities in front of coaches and scouts alike.

Only four DBs showed up to this camp, the smallest number we’ve hosted in any camp in over three years. I won’t hesitate to say this was one of the best DB groups I had a chance to witness at any camp I’ve been a part of. Morales spearheaded this notion. I could have easily gone with either one of these DBs for position MVP, yet Morales came away with it because of his work at WR late in the camp. Morales won reps at WR while dominating for 2+ hours at DB.

Impressive in individuals with our college coaches, Morales showed attention to detail, provided energy in a group consisting of just four prospects. Vocal and active, Morales turned the camp up and made it his playground during 1-on-1s. The sophomore checked off the most boxes. Can turn and run with any and all speed at the event. Slight frame, yet one of the more physical prospects from snap to whistle. Physical when attempting to jam, didn’t give up leverage without a fight. Great hand-eye coordination, great ball-tracking ability when being targeted vertically. Annoying, pesky in areas many young wideouts weren’t expecting. No route was stemmed freely. Quick hips and active feet/hands combatted some of the quicker matchups, he’s got the same twitch to keep up with speedy slot targets.

Morales showed off why we listed him as an “ATH” converting back to WR later in the camp and getting free against some of these outstanding DBs. Special performance.

Shows consistent desire to want to compete.  At 5’9″ , he will fight the eye test from coaches but wins with his playmaking abilities that can’t be ignored.

Not too many sophomores can load up a Hudl with this much production. A 6-minute defensive tape, a 5-minute offensive tape, all showing off the complete skillset Jon Jon Morales displays on a weekly basis. You’re going to need to carve out 15-20 minutes of your time to get the full jist of what Morales Jr. provides Kent Football. Real hands at wide receiver, real balance, and vision at running back, Morales is the type of offensive weapon you don’t have to scheme open too much. Make sure he gets the ball in space and watch him work. COD ability is a huge plus. Can stop and start well. Can be utilized anywhere on the field, although much of his work starts behind the LOS. Yes, he’s undersized, yet you don’t see him shying away from contact when toting the rock. I can see him catching 40+ balls from his running back spot alone next Fall. If you are questioning his size/toughness, cut on his tape at corner. You can see him shed and set the edge when run-stopping. You can see him knife at ball carriers in the open field. You can see him match up with wideouts twice his size and still make plays on the football. The ball skills you see on offense translate to the defensive side of the ball as well. A lot to like about this young man.
