Elijah has a good burst to the LOS and can change directions quickly.  He has good feet and can break tackles at the second level.  He has good field vision and runs well behind blockers.  He plays with a low pad level and has a nose for the end zone.  He will bring good depth to the LC backfield.

Whats been said: December 2022 – Here’s a slippery sophomore back out of Loomis Chaffee that produced well for an underclassmen on a loaded roster. You might be surprised as a defender when you see him work through the trenches, Yes, he’s 5’9, 180 pounds soaking wet, yet one look at his ability to block in the pocket, or his reps at DB and you’d understand that  Elijah Darity Elijah Darity 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Loomis Chaffee | 2025 State New E  has some edge to him. Good blend of north-south and east-west running. Loomis Chaffee wants to get the ball in his hands with space to work with, yet Darity does what he can with his off-tackle runs out of shotgun sets. He can be trusted to catch the ball out of the backfield. He can provide COD ability early in his runs. Would like to see him finish off his splash plays with scores, that’s a nitpick to his game. Hoping he carves out a deeper role for himself at LC this coming Fall.
