2023 Returning Notable Defensive Players: 5
24|6’4 305|OL/DL| Loomis Chaffee| Twin @Jalen_Sutton20 (All League/FCS/FBS offers)Whats been said: May 2023 – He is ranked as our #8 Offensive Lineman in class of 2024 within New England. His performance during his school showcase earned him Division 1 offers from Army, Howard University and Coastal Carolina.
May 2023 – Easily the biggest and most impressive linemen at the event, in terms of tape for sure. Losing Francaville will certainly hurt, yet deploying a line of Ndika, Crump, and Sutton should still thwart defensive fronts. Sutton is capitalizing on his tape and skill set, earning four offers in the Month of May. Some of the programs pulling on the Sutton trigger recently are Coastal Carolina, Howard U, Army WP, and Fordham. Showcases like these are just validation for coaches in attendance, guarantee you that many other coaches are waiting, straddling the line of offering before the Fall season begins.
June 2023 – Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Julian’s stock has been consistently rising shortly after his Junior season at Loomis. At 6’4 300lbs, he moves extremely well and is continuing to grow his IQ at the tackle position. A strong student, Julian will have his choice of schools when it comes time for a commitment. He finished the Spring track season strong by winning the Founder’s League Shot Put title. His competitive fire will carry him into a great summer camp season.
July 2023 – He is ranked as the # 8 Offensive Lineman in the class of 2024 in New England. He entered the spring evaluation period holding offers from the following schools: Yale University, Dartmouth College, University of Penn, Monmouth University, and Columbia University. On May 12, 2023 he announced an offer from Fordham University. On May 16, 2023 he announced another offer from Army Westpoint and Howard University. On May 18, 2023 he announced another offer from Coastal Carolina. On June 2, 2023 he announced an offer from University of Akron. On June 15, 2023 he announced an offer from Lehigh University. On July 2, 2023 he announced an offer from Cornell University followed by an additional offer from Fordham University on July 3, 2023. As a result of his recent recruitment activity, his rank could be boosted during our next updated rankings scheduled for August 2023.

Whats been said: March 2023 – He is ranked as the #4 defensive back in Connecticut and also the #5 ranked defensive back in the New England region. He attends Loomis Chaffee in Connecticut.
He has ability to disrupt/make plays with his length. He is put together well enough to be physical and durable. He has excellent burst and acceleration. He can close in space quickly. He can recover quickly from over-pursuing (catch-up speed). He is able to tackle in space. He is a striker-style tackler.
He has Div 1 Ivy League offers from a majority of the Ivy League schools. He will gain additional college interest during the April 2023 spring evaluation period.
May 2023 – He is ranked as our # 5 Defensive Back in class of 2024 within New England. His performance during his school showcase earned him a Division 1 Sacred Heart University.
May 2023 – Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Jalen is an outstanding Corner prospect with great length and cover skills. Jalen spent the Spring at Loomis running track where he was a member of the 4×1 relay and clocked 22.9 in the 200 Meters and a 52.2 400 Meters on his 1st attempt at the open. His academic performance has been equally strong making him a legitimate prospect for the Ivy League and Service Academies. This summer, the All-Founders league CB will continue to impress at camps as his competitive nature and overall strength will shine.

Whats been said: October 2022 – Much like KeShawn Adams , there isn’t much higher Thades Crump Thades Crump 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL The Loomis Chaffee | 2024 State New E Thades Crump Thades Crump 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL The Loomis Chaffee | 2024 State New E ” data-lazy-loaded=”1″ /> can go, acting as a top five ranked linemen in his class. Plugging in the three-game tape has me wondering if he shouldn’t place higher. Crump and the entire Loomis Chaffee offensive line has been dominant thus far. Crump has provided reps at both left guard and tackle spots, proving to all of the coaches recruiting him that he’s going to have excperience at both positions at the next level. Crump’s the complete package from a trait point of view. His motor is elite, his flexibility can be seen, his punch and drive off the ball is elite. He’s punishing and even has some athleticism to spare when utilized in space. Crump is one of those kids that anyone and their mother could scout. Happy to see him playing well.
March 2023 – Here’s a kid I’ve been fond of for some time. He still doesn’t have an offer since the last time I wrote about him, hardly a problem or anything to worry about, especially considering the fact he’s putting out phenomenal tape. The letters and phone calls will come. Crump’s reps in space are a sight to witness. Great open-field locator. Has the flexibility to really run out in front of backs in screen sets. There’s clear attention to detail on his tape. Crump doesn’t exactly overbear his opponents with size and strength, he’s going to win with terrific hand placement and leverage rep in and rep out. Don’t get it twisted, this kid still racks up pancakes. Crump is slightly bigger and taller than he was before the season. I’m interested in seeing his final build.
May 2023 – I’m a big fan of Thades Crump Thades Crump 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL The Loomis Chaffee | 2024 State New E Thades Crump Thades Crump 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL The Loomis Chaffee | 2024 State New E ” data-lazy-loaded=”1″ /> s’ game, have been from afar for some time. This was the perfect opportunity to make sure my critique of the young man saw some sort of validation. I think we met that level of confidence moving forward. Great balance in his stance, an attention to detail in terms of firing off his hands. 6’3, 15 pounds away from 300, yet the movement skills are still there. He fit right in with his top-50-ranked teammates.
June 2023 – Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Thades is the lynchpin to a very strong Offensive Line group returning to Loomis Chaffee. A 2-year returning starter, he has helped to anchor the left side of the OL. With flexibility from Center to Tackle, Thades is a jack of all trades up front. This summer will prove to be huge for him as he takes to the camp trail. His body competition, foot speed, and skill development has taken off and will be on full display this summer. A strong student, Crump will have the opportunity to entertain some of the top Colleges. Coming off of an All-Founders League Junior season expect big things from him in the fall.

Coach : (All-State/FCS Offers);@coachbanks9 December 2022 – is 6’0″ 200lbs who was positioned at RB and LB for his team this season. He has a 3.5 GPA. During the state championship game he had 24 carries for 113 yards and two touchdowns. HIs overall stats for the 2022 season are impressive. He totaled 1507 rushing yards along with 270 receiving yards with 18 total touchdowns. On defense, he totalled 102 tackles, 9.5 tackle for losses, 3 sacks and 3 interceptions. His performance this season helped earn him SCC Player of the year, All State Top 26 and the Levi Jackson award. He is seen as a down hill runner with ability to jump cut on the dime to make defenders miss. He can catch out of the backfield with good YAC. He has good balance and doesn’t go down on first contact.
May 2023 – He was accidentally omitted from our most recent class of 2024 updated rankings as a result of reclassfying into; Loomis Chaffee, without our knowledge. His performance earned him a Division 1 offers from Sacred Heart University and Coastal Carolina.

Staton’s work at the event earned him an offer out of Sacred Heart, his first offer quickly after transferring to the program. A new setting, I was completely unaware of his game and name until I got back and realized he wasn’t Jacob Sutton. Similar builds and skill sets, it was Staton who caught my attention early and often. Excited to get him ranked.
June 2023 – Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Jacob looks to continue to build on his breakout Senior season at Notre Dame High School. A key piece of Notre Dame’s CT State Championship run; Jack was a force on both sides of the ball. On offense he has proven to be a complete back while his defense prowess is equal to if not better. He is a ball hawk that runs well sideline to sideline, and finishes plays with great physicality. A very strong student as well, his academics will only serve as an asset in his college decision. His work ethic and championship pedigree will prove beneficial during the summer camps season and into the fall at Loomis.

He will surely be added to the updated class of 2024 New England Rankings being released in August 2023.

A dual threat QB, Jake is always a weapon with the ball in his hands. A serious running threat, Jake also possesses the arm strength and accuracy to distribute the ball. On the camp circuit this summer Jake will work out at multiple positions, QB, WR, DB. We might have saved the best for last. Formerly out of Xaverian Brothers, Edgehille can play next to the tackle, either in-line or split out in the slot. Incredibly strong hands at the catch point, he makes sure to catch the ball away from his body. Easily handles physicality off the LOS, LB hits don’t deter him off his route. Great communication and rapport with Henry Hasselbeck , served as a seam bender or an “over” target. Has the wheels to get to his spot. Want to see him perform as a blocker. 3.5 GPA, was also his first year playing football.
May 2023 – He was accidentally omitted from our most recent class of 2024 updated rankings as a result of reclassfying into; Loomis Chaffee, without our knowledge.
His performance earned him Division 1 offer from University of Maine, University of Richmond after the Showcase.
June 2023 – Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Danny comes to Loomis after player only one year of football for Xaverian Brothers in Massachusetts. Still learning the position, Danny is a natural pass catcher, route runner, and willing blocker. He is sure to be a complete player at Loomis displaying his physicality in the run game while presenting a matchup issue on the perimeter. Danny entertained a few PWO opportunities (Pitt, BC) after his Senior year but has used a strong Spring showcase season to gain some momentum in his recruiting. His summer will be busy as he will get out to a number of ACC, BIG10 and SEC camps while visiting a number of schools in the process.

Whats been said: December 2022 – Here’s a slippery sophomore back out of Loomis Chaffee that produced well for an underclassmen on a loaded roster. You might be surprised as a defender when you see him work through the trenches, Yes, he’s 5’9, 180 pounds soaking wet, yet one look at his ability to block in the pocket, or his reps at DB and you’d understand that Elijah Darity Elijah Darity 5’9″ | 185 lbs | RB Loomis Chaffee | 2025 State New E Elijah Darity Elijah Darity 5’9″ | 185 lbs | RB Loomis Chaffee | 2025 State New E ” data-lazy-loaded=”1″ /> has some edge to him. Good blend of north-south and east-west running. Loomis Chaffee wants to get the ball in his hands with space to work with, yet Darity does what he can with his off-tackle runs out of shotgun sets. He can be trusted to catch the ball out of the backfield. He can provide COD ability early in his runs. Would like to see him finish off his splash plays with scores, that’s a nitpick to his game. Hoping he carves out a deeper role for himself at LC this coming Fall.
January 2023 – HIs speed and quickness stand out. He is a solid blocker from the backfield. He can plant and break opposite direction instantly. Has high level athleticism seen in his skills. A young player who can become even more dynamic as he develops. High Ceiling.
April 2023 – He is ranked as the #2 class of 2025 running back in Connecticut and the #5 ranked running back in the New England region. He attends Loomis Chaffee in Connecticut.
His speed and quickness stand out on film. He is a solid blocker out of the backfield and maintains his blocks as needed. He can plant and break opposite direction instantly with his lateral skill quickness. Has high level athleticism seen in his skills. A young player who can become even more dynamic as he continues to develop. Appears to have compatible Div 1 speed for a RB.
Darity is a recruit who should see some interest spark during the upcoming NCAA April/Spring evaluation period. This is when coaches hit the road to visit prospects at their respected schools.
June 2023 – Head Coach Notes/Analysis: Eli is a great competitor who plays on both sides of the ball. At Running back, he looks to have a breakout season as he is a downhill running with the lateral skills to pose an issue in the open field. On the defensive side, he is a physical player who can cover down the field in addition to making plays behind the line of scrimmage. Keep your eyes on this 2025 prospect.

At 6’4/300 lbs. he has displayed great movement with a developing skill set. With two more years of football to play, Torres should be a top prospect in the region up front. His work ethic and willingness to learn will serve him well as he will compete in a Founders League littered with talent on the offensive and defensive lines this fall
