The single-night event concluded with one player from each position being awarded as the MVP of the group. For the second year in a row, Columbine’s James Basinger James Basinger 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Columbine | 2025 State CO (2025) earned the award from the running backs. The linebacker MVP was earned by Omari Bursey Omari Bursey 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Legacy | 2024 State CO (2024) from Legacy High School.
The linebacker and running back groups were filled with more than a few standout players, especially during the competition portion of the night. This article will look at six players from both groups who had impressive performances at the Stock-Up Showcase.
Brycen Mhlanga Brycen Mhlanga 5'11" | 205 lbs | RB Littleton | 2023 State CO | Littleton | 2023 RB
Mhlanga had another great showing at the showcase, proving that he is still a sleeper with significant upside. He has a solid frame, excellent footwork, and a ton of power. His versatility allows him to be a successful three-down back that makes impactful contributions in the passing game as a receiver and blocker. Mhlanga is a senior whose potential as a next-level player makes him an unsigned steal.
Terence Coleman Terence Coleman 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Fountain-Fort Carson | 2024 State CO | Fountain-Fort Carson | 2024 LB
Coleman is a player who stood out during the individual and one-on-one drills. His size and frame check off the boxes for the eye test, but his performance made him stick out of the crowd. He has a lot of power in his movements and knows how to use his size and strength to his advantage. Coleman’s ability to take proper angles when rushing the quarterback helps to give him the upper hand against blocking running backs, making him a player to watch closely.
Jazari Spencer | Harrison | 2024 RB
Spencer is a player who did very well during the combine portion of the event, showing off great speed, agility, and explosiveness. He really started to shine during the one-on-one drills, where he displayed his blocking skills and abilities as a pass-catcher. Spencer is a speedy back who is deceptively strong and has significant potential as a prospect.
Carter Daniels Carter Daniels 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB Mountain Vista | 2025 State CO | Mountain Vista | 2025 LB
There is a reason why Daniels finished the season tied for the second-leading tackler in the state. His explosives, formidable strength, and use of leverage make him a nightmare for running backs to try to block or evade in open space. Daniels is on pace to have another stellar season next fall, making him a player to immediately add to the prospect boards.
Sean Campbell Sean Campbell 5'8" | RB Denver east | 2025 State CO | Denver East | 2025 RB
Campbell’s size and frame made him an instant standout at the showcase. His build makes him a tough target to bring down, which pairs well with his strength. His impressive running style is more of a one-cut power back than an elusive scatback, making him an ideal choice for a three-down back in a heavy run scheme. With him only being a sophomore, Campbell still has the potential to continue to grow and refine his physique and technique, which gives him tremendous upside as a prospect.
