1. (WR) Isaiah Cobbs Isaiah Cobbs 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Munford | 2024 State TN (5’9 162) – Munford
– One of the top producing receivers from the 2022 season was this West Tennessee playmaker who shows on the film the ability to find the endzone at any given time along with the upside to play on the highest level of college football. Cobbs is electric with the ball in his hands as his speed is a major problem for defenders but he also has the vision and unique ability to find open space that gives coaching staffs fits. The Cougars junior wideout is quick off the line and elusive when in the open field, which makes him very difficult to control or game plan against. Cobbs has the ability to score whenever he is on the field and when the ball touches his hands, so he is a playmaker that can’t leave the field too often.
Besides being a speed demon, Cobbs is also a technician that runs precise routes, understands who he is and what he brings to the field as well as a dynamic return man that could also play gunner on the next level. He is a lover of football and someone that will contribute anyway possible to help his team succeed. This is an athletic, versatile young man that will only get better as he matures and develops his game further, so watch out for Cobbs and his recruitment over the next few months as I expect this West Tennessee product to blow up into a possible national recruit.
College Projection: Power Five, D1, FCS

2. (OG/C) Owen Borba Owen Borba 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Wilson Central | 2024 State TN (6’3 280) – Wilson Central
– This past 2022 season was an up and down affair for Wilson Central but one consistent part of the Wildcats team was the play from Borba and his physical nature from the interior of the offensive line. Sporting a wide frame with long arms, Borba looks the part of an interior guard or center and he brings the versatility to play either position on the next level. His film shows some excellent work in the run game where he is able to get to the second level, opening up holes for his backs while maintaining his leverage. Borba sports a strong upper body, so it’s hard for defenders to push him back but he also has a well balanced lower base that anchors well in pass protection.
Borba is a well versed offensive lineman that has a certain maturity about himself that tells me he could walk onto a college field and immediately compete for playing time his freshman season. This guy is a worker that constantly works to improve his craft while enhancing his strength and overall mobility on a weekly basis. He does need to keep working and develop further but I expect Borba to be one of the best interior O-line prospects from the Middle Tennessee region in the 2024 class.
College Projection: D1, FCS

3. (DE/LB) D.J. Allen D.J. Allen 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Germantown | 2024 State TN (6’4 220) – Germantown
– Allen put together a breakout junior year this Fall where he was the Red Devils top pass rushing option on the edge and a guy with the size and skill set to potentially play on the Division 1 level. This West Tennessee talent has all the physical traits you want in an edge rusher. Allen is tall and long with a wide shouldered frame and the body to definitely pack on more size wants he gets into a college weight room. The first thing that stands out about Allen when watching his film is his burst off the edge and ability to use his long arms to move back or get around offensive tackles. He does a good job of leveraging himself through and around the blockers while keeping a good bend around the edge.
The Red Devils junior standout shows upside and potential on film as an elite pass rusher but Allen shows strong capabilities against the run as well. He sets the edge very well then proceeds to explode on the ball quickly stopping the carrier for a short gain. Allen must continue adding more weight and power to his body but he will certainly do that over time and eventually and hopefully turn into the kind of pass rusher that can cause havoc on the college game.
College Projection: Power Five, D1, FCS

4. (LB) Landon Feggins Landon Feggins 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB McMinn Co. | 2024 State TN (6’2 210) – McMinn Co.
– For those that don’t know this East Tennessee linebacker, you will after the next year as Feggins could be one of the best at his position in his region for the 2023 football season and possibly the entire state. This is a big, physical, fast and smart backer that can play sideline to sideline but also rush the backfield. Feggins shows high intelligence on film where he consistently puts himself in the right positions to make a play on the ball. He does so with great instincts and quick reactions then finishes the ball carrier with violence. Feggins understands his role and shows capabilities of being your quarterback and leader on defense on the college playing field.
Moving forward into the offseason, Feggins needs to continue boosting his stock as he comes from a smaller area in Tennessee and must prove that he is capable of hanging with the big boys. I think he is more than capable and will show this spring and summer how legit he is. The Cherokees junior linebacker has all the tools you look for in a linebacker and he is still developing his craft, so the future looks bright for this current under the radar McMinn Co. talent.
College Projection: Power Five, D1, FCS

5. (DB) Jayden Hines Jayden Hines 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB West Creek | 2024 State TN (6’1 170) – West Creek
– The city of Clarksville may have a hidden gem right here with Hines as the West Creek junior defensive back has the height, length, speed and potential to develop into one of the top cover corners in the state but more work must be done! This past junior season was a bit of a breakout for Hines where he played several roles in the Coyotes secondary but on film, he shows upside to possibly play cornerback on the next level and that’s a prized recruiting position. Hines does a good job at using his size and length against receivers where he is able to feel them from a distance while maintaining his speed then letting his size take over to make a play on the ball. This is a smart, highly competitive football player that plays with control and tends to not put himself in bad positions.
Hines is also a fierce tackler that has no problem coming up in the run game and sticking the ball carrier. He plays with a fearless attitude that he has something to prove, which means you won’t have a problem with this guy’s intensity. The Coyotes standout defender does need to keep adding weight while developing his game further but the potential and right mindset is there for Hines to possibly place himself on D1 level of college football.
