<p><strong>Game Notes</strong> - Bob Jones comes into the game on making the playoffs in two straight years. The Patriots are 0-6 in their last six first-round games. Bob Jones has one of the top offensive players in the state. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='131922' first='Rayshawn' last='Hardy'] has completed 125-of-214 passes for 1,637 yards with ten touchdowns and 1,378 yards on 181 carries and 16 touchdowns. Hardy has two receptions, with one going for a touchdown, and as the defensive back, he has an interception. Wide receiver KJ Fields is a dynamic receiver that can stretch the field or go in the middle of the field for a big reception. This is the Hoover Bucs' 23rd straight playoff appearance. Hoover has one of the best defenses in Alabama. Linebackers [player_tooltip player_id='393181' first='Bradley' last='Shaw'] and Kaleb Jackson are the best in the state. The Bucs' run game has been consistent all year long. Running backs [player_tooltip player_id='242294' first='AJ' last='Williams'], and LaMarion McCammon is very good. The quarterback position has been a wild ride this season for the Bucs' offense. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='401114' first='Jonah' last='Winston'] started the season against Auburn, but senior Brewer Smith came into the game in the second half to lead the Bucs. He started a few weeks before an injury, and junior Brody Stacey played. He was out with an injury, and now freshman [player_tooltip player_id='401131' first='Noah' last='Schuback'] leads the Bucs offense. Schuback has completed 26-of-46 passing for 262 yards and two touchdowns in three starts. Smith is trying to get healthy to make his way back on the field. Smith has completed 75-of-132 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns. Wide receivers KJ Law and Jordan Woolen lead the Bucs' receivers.</p>

<p><strong>Game Notes</strong> - Hewitt-Trussville comes into the playoffs with their third straight appearance. The Huskies have quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='353152' first='Peyton' last='Floyd'] who is the key for the Hewitt-Trussville offense. Floyd has completed 163-of-233 passes for 2,130 yards with 22 touchdowns and only four interceptions with 580 yards on 153 carries and 14 touchdowns. With Floyd on offense are running back Jaqson Melton and wide receiver Jordan Loving. The Huskies defense is excellent. Alabama-commit defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='125536' first='Hunter' last='Osborne'] is having a great season. Osborne played on the offensive line earlier against Thompson this season. Tennessee commit [player_tooltip player_id='396183' first='Rickey' last='Gibson'] is a lockdown corner. No team has been successful in throwing his way this season. Florence has quarterback Neal Glover leading the Falcons' offense. Glover has completed 74-of-134 passes for 1,090 yards with nine touchdowns, three interceptions, and 679 rushing yards with ten touchdowns. Kicker Chandler Dixon has been a weapon for the Falcons' offense. Alabama commit [player_tooltip player_id='125521' first='Jahlil' last='Hurley'] has been solid for the Falcons all season. </p>

<p><strong>Game Notes</strong> - Vestavia Hills is making a trip back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019 along with Rebels first-year head coach Robert Evans. The Rebels offense is led by John Paul Head at quarterback. The dual style QB is having a terrific season. Head has completed 113-of-196 passes for 1,461 yards with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions with 983 yards on 131 carries and 19 touchdowns on the season. Keown Richardson is the leading pass receiver for the Rebels. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='422743' first='Jordan' last='Ross'] can rush the passer with the best of them. Austin missed the playoffs last year, but return as the #1 seed in region four this season. De'Air Young leads the Black Bears offense. Young has completed 76-of-151 passes for 1,009 yards with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions with 847 yards on 138 carries and eight touchdowns.</p>

<p><strong>Game Notes</strong> - Huntsville is returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Quarterback Jack Mcclung leads the Panthers' offense. Mcclung has completed 145-of-233 passes for 1,676 yards with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Carlin Long is one of the best running backs in region four. Long has 1,425 yards on 219 carries and 15 touchdowns. Thompson, the defending 7A champions, has one of the best defenses in the state. Clemson commit defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='125529' first='Peter' last='Woods'] is probably the best player in the state. Alabama commit defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='125520' first='Tony' last='Mitchell'] can play corner or safety. Running back AJ Green has rushed for 908 yards on 135 carries on 12 touchdowns. Wide receiver Korbyn Williams has 40 receptions for 420 yards on five touchdowns. The Warriors have played two quarterbacks this season. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='340027' first='Zach' last='Sims'] has completed 93-of-153 passes for 1,221 yards with six touchdowns and six interceptions, while eighth-grader [player_tooltip player_id='216690' first='Trent' last='Seaborn'] has completed 36-of-56 passes for 524 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions. </p>
