Continue ReadingIt’s crazy how fast the season has flown by, as we’re already approaching week seven. Today, we’re taking a look at the young bucks from around the bluegrass state. Despite their age, these young men have already displayed plenty of promise on film. Some have picked up power five offers, while others are waiting for that coved first scholarship to come in. With three more years left after this fall, look for these guys only to get bigger, faster, and stronger & become a force at the varsity level and beyond. With all that being said, here’s who you need to know!
QB: Cameron O’Hara, 6′ 165, Cooper
- Excellent footwork and timing inside the pocket.
- Climbs the pocket when under duress with his eyes downfield.
- Ball placement in the red area is terrific.
WR: Marlon Harbin Marlon Harbin 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Saint Xavier | 2026 State KY , 5’11” 175, St. Xavier
- Build-up speed and deep ball tracking ability is quite impressive.
- Can create separation at the top of his route for tight-window throws.
- Shows sticky hands on all three levels of the field.
OL: David Pellman David Pellman 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL DuPont Manual | 2026 State KY , 6’3″ 285, DuPont Manual
- Hand placement is consistently on the breastplate.
- Displayed some serious force behind his down blocks.
- Has a bit of a mean streak that I believe will continue to develop over the next few seasons.
LB: Ayier Coates, 5’10” 220, St. Xavier
- Loves contact and plays angry on tape.
- He’s strong at the point of attack and can fight off blocks inside the box.
- Quickness and body control gives opposing offensive linemen issues, leading to a plethora of TFLs.
WR: Trevy Barber Trevy Barber 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Bowling Green | 2026 State KY , 5’10” 165, Bowling Green
- A smooth route runner that can make something happen after the catch.
- He’s poised through chaos and can adlib & make plays on his own.
- His change of direction is so fluid and gives defenders major problems when they’re forced to tackle in space.
WR: Ronald Lunz, 5’10” 160, North Hardin
- A physical blocker that plays with an edge.
- Has the speed to challenge corners and safeties vertically.
- Is a major homerun threat when the pocket collapses and the scramble drill is on.
QB: Rio Litmer, 6′ 160, Highlands
- Feet and arm are in sync, leading to pinpoint accuracy.
- Knows when to bail out of the pocket when something isn’t there and can use his legs to pick up free yards on the ground.
- Litmer is quite effective on sprint-outs, squaring his shoulders towards his target to ensure the utmost accuracy.
