Continue ReadingWe hit the nail on the head with Cameron Brickle. What a year it’s been for the freshman defensive linemen. I had the chance to see his prowess against Imhotep earlier this Fall, he passed that test. Taking a look at his mid-season tape, you’ve got a legitimate Power Five prospect who has no business making the plays he’s putting out at his age. Brickle isn’t just a giant freshman who is raw or leaning on his size/athelticism, he’s already developing and displaying advanced traits. His hand usage, his leverage usage are all well beyond his years. His understanding of gap control is already well ahead of where it should be. All of this adds up to a young man who will stay atop our ranks for years to come. Every Power Five on the east coast should check in.
Love what I’m seeing early out of the future Gettsyburg star and younger brother of GA standout Jaceb Dickerson Jaceb Dickerson 6’2″ | 255 lbs | DL Gettysburg Area | 2024 State PA . Samuel Dickerson Samuel Dickerson 5’10” | 160 lbs | DL Gettysburg Area | 2026 PA started 8 games for the GA true freshman team, securing 13 sacks along the way. Dickerson stands out in two ways. His motor and effort in pursuit of the football is awesome to watch, especially this early on. If he’s got this kind of motor now, I can only expect it to grow moving forward. His tape shows he can work through double teams, again, off sheer effort alone. A growth spurt might be in order if I’m translating him to a future in the trenches. Either way, Gettysburg has a prospect primed for a big role in the future.
Highlights
Keefer Wolff
Keefer Wolff
Much like Dickerson at Gettysburg, here’s another freshman team prospect that is piling up production for his program. Keefer Wolff is a 6’1 DE/TE prospect who is blocking well when aligned at tight end. He’s got a couple of catches on tape, yet Wolff’s value comes as an impact down-blocker in running sets. Wolff is also an emphatic defender, a ton of registered TFLs are on tape. Depending on how his frame develops, we could see a potential star in the making along both offensive and defensive lines.
Brendan Alexander
Brendan Alexander
A new name on our ranks, Brendan Alexander is a name that is going to blow up before you know it. I’m sure his name carries weight among those in and around Central Valley, as a freshman who is playing this well is sure to generate some kind of buzz. That buzz has been felt way down here in Philly, as Alexander’s tape has intrigued me enough to get him on radar. In fact, his tape has more than intrigued me, it has me ready to place him high on our ranks. Reps at left tackle, IDL, and DE. Awesome build for a freshman, a lean 6’4 that lands him squarely on the athletic end of the big-man spectrum. His reps are tone-setting, dominant even, this goes for both sides of the ball. I wonder what the plan might be as far as development goes. I can see him beefing up and being a menace along the offensive line and interior of a defense. I can also see him keeping his slimmer physique and possibly learning some pass-rush moves to be utilized in space or on an island. The Central Valley coaching staff must be drooling.
John-Patrick Oates
John-Patrick Oates
The number 22 on an Explorer uniform is a scary sight, whether it’s on Abdul Carter, or John-Patrick Oates, a freshman standing at 6’3, weighing in at 185 pounds. I wanted to speak on this kid’s potential last week but held off considering I was going to see LaSalle in the week. I got the chance to see JPO with the ball in his hands some, yet I know this kid is hardly scratching the surface of his production/potential. Patrick-Oates is being held in the stable, for now, expect this name to blow up so long as he develops the way he’s supposed to. I can trust the coaching staff at LaSalle to develop him accordingly, the track record at the program is lengthy. Patrick-Oates might align at wideout, he might align at EDGE, he might align at linebacker. Either way, LaSalle is ready to reload with one of the more promising prospects I’ve come across in person.
Zakee Wiggins
Zakee Wiggins
Speaking of promising, here’s another highly touted lineman out of Northeast HS. This young man will have a spot on our ranks come next update, a high one at that. I only have a three-game tape to evaluate, yet more than enough to be excited about this 6’3, 270-pound freshman. There is real lower body strength displayed on tape, Zakee Wiggins is seen standing up matchups, driving them 10-15 yards off the ball. Wiggins is also showing open-field and second-level awareness, an advanced trait for a young prospect like himself. There’s a good blend of brains and athleticism that allows him to key his first and second assignment and put a hat on a hat. Wiggins is also a factor in space, often leading the way for screens from his left guard position. He seeks opposition well. Exciting start for this young man.
14 total sacks, 19 TFLs for Daiveon Taylor Daiveon Taylor 6’1″ | 215 lbs | DL Bishop Canevin | 2026 State PA , that’s varsity ball production too. Taylor can have the stats speak for him, yet I think the tape tells a better story. Taylor’s skillset will have him totaling double-digit sacks for the remainder of his career, he’s got the prototypical build that best suits edge rushers. He’s a lean 6’2, with a twitchy lower half and an impressive get-off. Do not let this kid learn how to blend power into his rush, if he does, he’ll be a perennial name atop our ranks. Even now, Taylor is already exhibiting an understanding of leverage off the edge. Taylor primarily plays with his hand off the dirt, yet he has some reps that have him playing a more traditional OLB role. He excels at both alignments. Little shocking no one has pulled the trigger on this kid yet.
Elias Coke Elias Coke 6’2″ | 195 lbs | ATH Harrisburg | 2026 State PA has been active for Harrisburg, exciting to see him blooming into a potential threat at wide receiver this early on. I know coaches at the next level love two things when it pertains to wideouts, those being size and separation skills. Coke’s most recent tape has him looking big, all while showing off his stride and running past kids along the boundaries. We might be seeing a small window into the future of how Coke will produce down the road, the young man has real speed, a stride that’s only going to improve with time. His size isn’t going anywhere, I expect him to be a factor in the red zone for the duration of his career. Very excited to see what Coke adds to his already strong arsenal. Reps at DB would be huge, he’s got some on tape already. The sky is truly the limit here.
