* These prospects are listed based on what we know and what they have done so far. Other prospects will be considered in this list down the line as more QB prospects jump on the radar *
George MacIntyre George MacIntyre 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB Brentwood Academy | 2025 State TN (6’5 190) – Brentwood Academy
– Already the starting quarterback for his Eagles team, MacIntyre is viewed as one of the top prospects from our in-state 2025 class who holds offers from Auburn, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and more. Tall, imposing presence behind center, the Eagles sophomore signal caller has all the physical traits and arm talent to turn into not only a national guy but one of the top quarterback prospects in the country.
Tav Shaffer Tav Shaffer 6'2" | 215 lbs | QB Lipscomb Academy | 2025 State TN (6’2 195) – Lipscomb Academy
– Shaffer is a well built, strong armed passer that is having to wait his turn before he takes over the starting role at quarterback for the Mustangs but once he does, watch out because this Mid-Tennessee product has the arm talent and upside to play on the collegiate level. He doesn’t have a lot of film but the clips he does have shows tremendous upside and the ability to develop further into an eventual D1 offered guy.
Jackson Kilburg Jackson Kilburg 6'3" | 220 lbs | QB Lipscomb Acad. | 2025 State TN (6’3 205) – Lipscomb Academy
– Much like the guy above, Kilburg will have to wait his time before he is the starting guy but this offseason could go a long way towards him becoming the main quarterback behind center. This Illinois native who transferred to Lipscomb this past offseason, Kilburg is a big dude with nice physical traits and the arm talent to be recruited by some high level college programs. More development must be done but this guy shows tremendous upside and potential for the next level.
Tyler Travers Tyler Travers 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB Mt. Juliet | 2025 State TN (6’5 190) – Mt. Juliet
– This Golden Bears sophomore is already taking snaps behind center as the starting quarterback and that experience will be good for Travers, who has the physical upside to make it into the college game one day. Travers is an imposing presence behind center with his size but he also has the arm strength to place the ball wherever he wants to. He does need to keep working on his mechanics but the skill set is there to see this guy turn into a highly recruited prospect sooner than later.
Weston Edmondson Weston Edmondson 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB GCA | 2025 State TN (6’4 195) – GCA
– The Rams haven’t had a guy like Edmondson behind center in some time as this is a guy with all the physical traits and arm talent to develop himself into one of the best quarterback prospects from the in-state 2025 class and eventually make his way into the college game. Sporting the size he does, Edmondson is a solid athlete that can gain yards with his legs but it’s his arm talent that will get him noticed and recognized by collegiate coaches.
Houston Hicks Houston Hicks 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Boyd Buchanan | 2025 State TN (6’2 195) – Boyd Buchanan
– Hicks is an interesting talent to pay attention to over the next year as he brings several good traits to the football field but he just needs that opportunity to become the main guy behind center for the Bucs. That opportunity should come next season for Hicks and if all goes according to plan, his stock should rise due to his size, arm talent and athleticism to pick up yards with his legs.
Brady Hughes Brady Hughes 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB MUS | 2025 TN (6’2 185) – MUS
– One of the better athletes at the quarterback position for the 2025 class, Hughes has been given the chance to see the field this season as a sophomore and he has flashed some serious talent that translates well to the next level. He has good size, mobility and shows some zip on his passes that collegiate coaches will like. Hughes has to keep developing his overall passing abilities but the upside is there and this guy could rise his stock into one of the best overall QB prospects for our in-state class.
Brycen McDonald Brycen McDonald 6'4" | 190 lbs | QB Lewis Co. | 2025 State TN (6’4 190) – Lewis Co.
– This 2022 season has been a breakout year for McDonald as he has not only taken the reins as the starting quarterback but he has excelled, throwing for over 1,500 yards and 20 TD’s while leading his team to a current 8-1 record. McDonald is a big guy with a great frame and a strong right arm that can develop well on the college gridiron but he is also a baseball star as well, so it will be interesting to see which direction he goes over the coming years.
Caleb Sams Caleb Sams 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Hendersonville | 2025 TN (6’0 190) – Hendersonville
– The Commandos have a strong piece at quarterback with Sams to build around over the next few years as this guy is one of top dual threat prospects from our in-state 2025 class. Sams is a multi talented guy that has serious speed for his position but he is more than just an athletic quarterback, he can spin it as well! This Mid-Tennessee signal caller fits today’s model of QB’s that can run it and throw deep, so watch out for Sams to become a hotter prospect somewhere down the road.
Kam Alexander Kam Alexander 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Bartlett | 2025 TN (6’2 175) – Bartlett
– Little is known about this West Tennessee quarterback at the moment but starting this offseason and next Fall, you will definitely learn more about Alexander. A strong armed passer with solid mechanics and athleticism, Alexander is an intriguing talent that brings a lot of upside to the QB position and he is learning from one of the best in the state this season ( Braylen Ragland Braylen Ragland 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Bartlett | 2023 State TN ). He has more room to grow and develop his skills but Alexander has a lot of tools that show college potential.
