The Trojans arrive into tonight’s contest a respectable 4-3 with a 1-1 conference record. The only defeat Avonworth has suffered on the season was to an undefeated Central Valley squad. North Catholic has also suffered a loss at the hands of some quality opponents in Aliquippa (Defending State Champs), Highlands (Undefeated), & a good Armstrong team. Both teams are evenly matched which should make for a fun, competitive atmosphere on Friday night.
Peyton is a certified FBS-level recruit with offers from Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green, Coastal Carolina, UAB, Richmond, Navy, Austin Peay, East Tennessee State, Colgate, and Bryant. The blue-chipper is a flex TE that is dangerous like a receiver in the open field. He has good size at 6’4 230 lbs for blocking on the line or backfield. Faulkner is an effective run blocker that goes until the whistle. On the collegiate level, Peyton will be a matchup problem for any LB in coverage.
Avonworth’s senior Quarterback is getting looks from FCS programs so far. He has a strong arm and gets the ball out quickly. Harper is an accurate passer overall that throws with good anticipation. Nate is pretty athletic and has decent footwork in the pocket. He is good at not locking onto targets. Harper is poised in the pocket, & he knows how to spreads the ball around to his playmakers.
The 2024 D1 prospect has been in contact with various FBS & FCS schools in the early recruiting stages. Brandon moves well laterally pursuing the football. He’s very physical & causes chaos when he Blitzes. He’s skilled at zone dropping & covering his zone then coming up to tackle. Brandon is capable of making plays on the football in zone coverage.
Colin Crawford
Colin Crawford
Colin is an athlete that I like more on the defensive side of the ball. At Strong Safety he plays under control and isn’t scared to run the alley. The senior prospect has decent footwork, & he displays good hips breaking off of the hash to contest passes along the sideline. He catches the football away from his body at wideout. Crawford would be a valuable member of special teams. Colin Has decent speed, and he displayed it on various kick returns.
Gabe Bonnet
Gabe Bonnet
Gabe is being evaluated & recruited by mostly D3 schools. His effort is good, & he doesn’t quit until the whistle sounds. Bonnet has the size at 6’3 that could result into him playing TE collegiately.
Brady O’Hara
Brady O’Hara
The big sophomore TE just picked up his first power 5 scholly from Pitt. O’Hara is decently athletic & physical for his size. He displays strength bull-rushing & disengaging blockers on defense. He also looked good running & catching passes at TE. As physical as Brady plays on defense, he has to be able to be a good run blocker. Big prospects that can move are hard to come by, expect Brady’s offer list to rise soon.
Jack has good durability & toughness on offense. Fennell has 4.5 speed that North Catholic try’s to utilize as much as possible. The junior athlete is also a dangerous return man that can flip field positioning with one return rep. Jack showed versatility versus Kiski Area amassing 317 all purposed yds & 3 TDs.
Gavin Kambody
Gavin Kambody
The Junior DB is physical & plays with intensity. He runs the alley with bad intentions looking for someone to hit. Kambody has a decent football IQ that allows him to recognize plays quickly on the backend. The 24′ recruit has all the characteristics of a good special teams player as well in regards to the next level.
Chase has been receiving some FBS attention for his recruitment. Arrington runs the ball with patience, and he has a nose for the end zone when he’s close. Chase is a good press corner he utilizes the soft shoe technique. The 2024 DB also plays off man very well. He plays the ball aggressively & has a good break on the football. Arrington has good instincts mixed with fundamental DB technique. Chase’s speed allows him to stick close in man coverage usually smothering the receiver.

Shaumus Straub
Shaumus is garnering some D3 love so far in his recruitment. He isn’t terribly mobile, but he zone drops well. Straub is an effective Blitzer that will go hard until the play is concluded. The senior LB has good instincts & is skilled at sniffing out the ball carrier. His lateral movement could use some work but he has a good motor pursuing the football.
JJ Laquinta
JJ Laquinta
JJ Currently holds offers from D2 Notre Dame College and Lock Haven University. The senior OL is nasty & loves throwing his weight around. On film he plays lower than his height. He has Good body control and knows how to get into position to finish a defender. JJ plays Center & Guard for North Catholic & will do the same collegiately. Laquinta is especially good at combo & reach blocking also.
Julian King
Julian King
King has been fielding some FCS & D2 interest as of late. He’s fast off the ball and makes plays behind the line scrimmage. Julian’s motor is great, and he’s relentless Pass rushing the quarterback. King is athletic & not easily evaded when he’s going for the sack. The 23′ athlete redirects down the line well sometimes running plays down from behind.
