These young men have already made a huge impact and should be serious names to watch for over the next three seasons. Their final 2022 highlight tapes should be pretty intriguing, so make sure you’re looking for those following the end of their freshmen campaign. With that being said, here’s who you need to know!
WR: Daylen Sharper Daylen Sharper 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Brophy | 2026 State AZ , 6’3″ 180, Brophy Prep
- Smooth with great concentration.
- Has a physical running style & is quite slippery with the ball in his hands.
- Shows impressive balance as a runner.
DL: Tony Cumberland, 6’5″ 250, Desert Mountain
- Quite twitchy for a big man.
- On-field effort and willingness are off the charts.
- Can generate enough force off the snap to create knockback on interior offensive linemen.
QB: Donivan Dixon Donivan Dixon 5'10" | 190 lbs | QB Cactus Shadows | 2026 State AZ , 5’9″ 165, Cactus Shadows
- Shows consistent ball placement throughout.
- Can alter his arm slot to make tough throws into tight windows.
- Has some hidden athleticism that you can build a quarterback run game around.
QB: Chase Brown, 6’2″ 160, Flagstaff
- Has enough velocity behind him to drive the football into tighter downfield frames.
- Displayed outstanding touch for a young quarterback.
- Recognizes the blitz and gets the ball out of his hand quickly.
LB: Jameson Wade, 6’1″ 200, Red Mountain
- Motor is always on full go.
- Looks and plays like a throwback mike linebacker.
- Tremendous closing speed off the edge.
WR: Bennett Juve Bennett Juve 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Williams Field | 2026 State AZ , 6′ 165, Gilbert Christian
- Production is just outstanding, having totaled eleven touchdowns in just seven games thus far.
- A competitor who will go up and get you the 50/50 ball.
- Masterful at creating downfield separation.
QB: Jayden Pico Jayden Pico 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB Liberty | 2026 State AZ , 5’11” 165, Shadow Ridge
- Throwing motion is quick and compact.
- Flat-out electric as a runner once he gets into the open field.
- Can make deep vertical throws off any platform.
OLB: Bastian Vanden Bosch Bastian Vanden Bosch 6'2" | 190 lbs | DL Brophy | 2026 State AZ , 6’1″ 190, Brophy Prep
- Plays with violent hands off the edge.
- Has shown a low pad level and a great first step.
- Impressive change of direction on the offensive side.
LB: Jaylyn Colter, 6’1″ 185, Chaparral
- Fills interior gaps with authority.
- Always around the football and takes quality angles to get there.
- Unfazed taking on linemen head-on in the run game.
DB: Angel Thues, 5’11” 155, Saguaro
- Excellent body control as a tackler in space.
- Not afraid to stick his nose in there and make a tackle inside the box.
- Has plenty of recovery speed if beat initially.
