Every athlete on this list had an amazing offseason, and they’re all getting looks by division 1 colleges. Now, let’s dive into #6 – #15 on the 2025 Rankings!
A 6’2 receiver from Roseville, Eric Slater holds offers from Indiana, Central Michigan, and Eastern Kentucky. He’s just visited Cinci this past Sunday, and I’m confident he’ll hold more offers soon.
I like Slater’s release off the line and his ability to win 50/50 balls. If he continues to spend time in the weight room, I can see him being an elite physical receiver.
Another Roseville player, Desmond Straughton holds offers from Indiana, Akron, Bowling Green, West Virginia, among others.
He’s coming off an amazing game against Romeo where he retuned a kickoff 96 yards for a TD, and played great defense throughout at the safety position. He knows how to run and he knows how to hit, so I’m excited to see him hopefully develop into a hard-hitting safety, an archetype we all love to watch.
King is a College D1 factory, and it always seems like they have an elite offensive lineman in each class. Antonio Johnson is one of those guys standing at 6’3″, 285.
He holds offers from Maryland, Bowling Green, Toledo, and others.
Another Cass Tech Technician, Cashus Shivers is an elite 2025 DB with a high ceiling.
The DB performed wonderfully with Legacy during the offseason, even scoring a game-winning TD in the Legacy Midwest Tournament. He’s a two-way player that will be relied on a ton as we gets more experience. I’m excited to see what he becomes.
Here’s another athlete who had an amazing offseason. Starting to see a pattern?
Jordin Farrow is a disruptive defensive lineman who constantly works on his body and overall athleticism. Already with starting experience last season, alongside a great game against Cedar Springs during Week 1, Farrow deserves this ranking. I’m looking to see him get much stronger in the next few years, where he’ll become an insane IDL.
Farrow has offers from West Virginia, and 3 MAC teams (CMU, TOL, Western).
Baker is a big 6’5 EDGE/TE from Cass Tech. He’s ranked as the #17 TE in the nation according to WR Hit List, and the #1 2025 TE in Michigan.
I haven’t seen much film of Baker, but if he goes the primarily TE route, I want him to focus on his athleticism and route-running while also playing plenty of defense getting those physical reps in. To be an elite TE, you need to possess elite qualities of a WR and OL. Baker surely has the physical gifts needed, and he’ll have an opportunity to make the most of those gifts with dedication over the next few seasons.
Highlights
Jaylen Pitts is a 6’7″ tackle from River Rouge
Still a raw prospect in many accounts, Jaylen Pitts has amazing physicals. I’m not sure what his wingspan is, or other notable measurements that can be telling of a lineman’s potential, but 6’7″ is a great place to start.
He’s a dual-sport athlete in Basketball and Football, and has a Football offer from Akron.
Tate has been an extremely busy man visiting schools like Notre Dame, Penn State, among many others.
And guess what? He was a top performer at the Legacy Midwest 7-on-7 showcase.
We’ve had plenty of elite West Bloomfield RB/LB types over the years, and I’m confident that Tate is next up.
Physically, Tate is built extremely well and is great, and experienced in pass coverage. Like all these prospects, I’m excited to see Tate’s progression over the next few years.
Highlights
DiMari Malone attended the PRZMI Prospect Showcase, and performed well. He’s a tall, well-built athlete going to Dakota. Playing in the MAC Red, he’ll have plenty of opportunity to shine more than he already has. I’d like to see progression in lateral quickness and hitting.
Like all these guys, an amazing, busy offseason for Malone.
