Continue ReadingIt has been a busy offseason with tons of camps and evaluations as well as pinpointing who the next football stars will be from the great state of Tennessee and some prospects from the 2024 class have already been established themselves as top level names but who are some guys flying under the radar that have the upside to become legit studs!
That’s what we bring you here! Here are five junior prospects from our in-state 2024 class that I believe will breakthrough this season and become wanted players on the recruiting trail.
1. (S/WR) Keshawn Williams Keshawn Williams 6'1" | 185 lbs | DB Riverdale | 2024 State TN (6’1 185) – Riverdale
– Earlier this spring at Centennial high school in Franklin, Tennessee, I had the opportunity to watch Williams up close and personal and let me say this guy can play and he brings a certain game changing type of abilities to the football field that plays up well on the next level. Williams presents nice size and length along with a frame for more growth and the upside to develop at either safety or receiver. This is a dynamic, big play guy that may fit best in college at safety but this spring, Williams proved to me that he could excel at receiver as well and I believe the Warriors coaching staff plans to use him on offense this season quite a bit.
The best trait that stands out about Williams is his instincts and quick reactions towards making a play on the ball. He diagnoses the play early and reacts without hesitation. This Murfreesboro area standout fits very well at the free safety position where he can use those top notch instincts to play centerfield and be a constant disruptor for opposing quarterbacks and receivers.
Williams has yet to break out with college offers but interest is there and growing as time goes by and more coaches view his film. The Warriors safety is already considered a Top 50 overall in-state prospect by #PRZTN but it would not be surprising to see his recruiting stock and ranking rise over the coming months as this dude is legit and just waiting for the college coaches to take notice.

2. (QB) Raheem Vance Raheem Vance 6'1" | 210 lbs | QB Olive Branch | 2024 State MS (6’2 210) – Kirby
– At this current moment, the junior class of quarterbacks here in the state of Tennessee is still influx when it comes to who the top prospects at this position are for next year but Vance is definitely in that mix and could have as much upside as anybody. Vance is well built physically along with a strong right arm and clean, crisp mechanics that you will find on the collegiate level. He is also a calm presence behind center that doesn’t seem to get rattled by much and keeps his eyes down field, consistently looking for the open receiver.
This West Tennessee product still needs more experience and time on the field to enhance and improve his skill set but he has tremendous upside. This offseason has been big thus far for Vance as he has impressed everybody that has seen him work in person at either a workout or a camp setting. His work has been so impressive that he is fighting among a few others for that top quarterback spot for the in-state 2024 class.
At this point in his recruitment, Vance holds a few FCS offers and interest from many but I would expect to see his list grow rapidly over the coming months, especially with new film from the upcoming season. This is a talented gunslinger that will become a top level recruit, it’s just a matter of time, not when!

3. (LB) Elijah Fauteux Elijah Fauteux 6'3" | 195 lbs | LB Haywood | 2024 TN (6’3 200) – Haywood
– Tall, long and athletic with a big radius and frame, Fauteux has tons of physical traits that translate very well to the next level, however he still has lots of development to go but the upside is there. The Tomcats junior linebacker shows up on film big time with his quick reactions and speed to the ball along with his ability to drop and make plays in coverage. Fauteux is an athletic guy that has the size to work at inside backer but also the speed to play outside if needed due to his potential as a pass rusher.
This coming junior season will be big for this West Tennessee linebacker as he should take over a full time role for his Tomcats team and have the opportunity to dominate and become one of the teams biggest forces on defense. If Fauteux can show this coming season his ability to get after the quarterback while also continuing to enhance his range, you will see his stock rise up and increase his recruiting chances.
Many around the recruiting scene may not know too much at the moment about this West Tennessee junior but hopefully over the next few months, that will change. Fauteux looks the part and plays like it too, so I expect a big upswing of recruiting attention sooner than later for this talented linebacker.

4. (DB) Kameron Herring Kameron Herring 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Collierville | 2024 State TN (6’2 175) – Collierville
– Look out for this West Tennessee defensive back over the coming year as Herring could develop himself into one of the best prospects at his position for the in-state junior class. This is a tall, long and athletic guy that shows upside and potential at playing cover corner on the next level but is versatile enough to play multiple roles within the secondary as well. Herring is a smooth mover with good hip control that can play his man straight up and stay right alongside the receiver throughout his route.
One of the biggest traits that stands out about Herring when diving deep into his abilities is his aggressive nature and willingness to compete. This is a feisty dude that enjoys the game of football and you can see his passion on film when chasing after the ball. That type of demeanor along with the talents that Herring has becomes very appealing to college coaches and expect them to get involved with this prospect very soon.
Herring has yet to receive his first offer but I don’t think he will have to wait much longer for that to change. His Collierville team is expected to have a big 2022 season and Herring should be a key piece on defense that helps lead the Dragons on a deep playoff run. Look for tons of Power Five and D1 coaches to start paying attention to this Memphis area defender in the near future and it’s possible Herring could develop into a national name.

5. (Ath) Almani Rembert Almani Rembert 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR Oak Ridge | 2024 State TN (5’10 170) – Oak Ridge
– The city of Knoxville has been producing some athletic guys over the past several years that have made it into D1 football and I think Rembert could be one of those next prospects to follow on that path. A versatile playmaker that could develop on either side of the ball, Rembert is a natural athlete that has the speed and agility to be a gamebreaker on the gridiron that can score from anywhere on the field. He fits the bill and role perfectly as a slot receiver but he has the speed to move outside and work the sidelines.
Rembert could also develop himself into a key piece on special teams as either your return guy or a gunner on the outside. This Knoxville based junior athlete is like a swiss army knife prospect that can be utilized in a variety of ways, so he brings a lot of value to the football field that appeals quite a bit to collegiate coaches.
Rembert is still searching for that first college offer but it’s ok as there is plenty of time to continue impressing coaches. This coming Fall football season will be huge for the Wildcats stud athlete as it should be a breakout year for Rembert and a platform to build his stock into a possible D1 recruit.
