Some big-time names, all of which are now top-100 players in Pennsylvania, have transferred to better their high school football situations and careers. In this piece, we will highlight some of the top prospects who have made the decision to transfer and begin their junior campaigns with a clean slate. A couple of major programs reloaded, while two up-and-coming programs look to capitalize on the insurgence of talent.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="256156" first="Kevin" last="Towns"] - Archbishop Wood / St. Joseph’s Prep</strong></span></em></span>
[player_tooltip player_id="256156" first="Kevin" last="Towns"], formerly out of Archbishop Wood, joins many at the program who have transferred out because of the most recent coaching change. Wood still retained a ton of talent, and the coaching staff present can still lead the team to where they want to be. However, Towns is amongst one of the best offensive line units in the PCL. The Liberty-offered junior now sits pretty as one of the more polished and technically sound linemen on this loaded St. Joe’s 2024 class. Wherever the program needs Towns to fit, he will do so seamlessly. Excited to see what the new connection can bring forth to both parties.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="142826" first="Davon" last="Willie"] - Conwell - Egan / St. Joseph’s Prep</strong></span></em></span>
The second Top-100 prospect on this list has also transferred to St. Joseph’s Prep. [player_tooltip player_id="142826" first="Davon" last="Willie"], who barely missed the top-50 cut, will now add himself to one of the best secondaries in the PCL and the state itself. Willie will now pair with [player_tooltip player_id="98507" first="Omillio" last="Agard"], [player_tooltip player_id="255740" first="Shamir" last="Johnson"], [player_tooltip player_id="255078" first="Anthony" last="Sacca"], and more young, talented prospects who are on the rise. Willie is used to working with a star-studded group, as the junior is leaving a secondary that will deploy [player_tooltip player_id="142827" first="Tim" last="Gipli"] and [player_tooltip player_id="248344" first="Mekhi" last="Harper"]. Guessing future reps out of this program is nearly impossible when considering the talent they have backloaded. I hope to see Willie mesh well with his new counterparts.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="145882" first="Samier" last="Bromfield"] - Roman Catholic / Neumann-Goretti</strong></span></em></span>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="164528" first="David" last="Macon"] - Roman Catholic / Cheltenham</strong></span></em></span>
Roman Catholic is yet another illustrious program that has talented busting out of the seams. You can dig deep into their rosters and still find potential collegiate recruits waiting for their time to shine. At programs like this, you will always need to prove you are worthy of your reps, nothing is given. Two immensely talented prospects who are squarely on the radar of collegiate coaches, [player_tooltip player_id="145882" first="Samier" last="Bromfield"] and [player_tooltip player_id="164528" first="David" last="Macon"], will both be playing in new threads this upcoming Fall. [player_tooltip player_id="145882" first="Samier" last="Bromfield"], who has taken a slight tumble down our rankings, will now hope to have an elite season at Neumann-Goretti. NG will have numerous talented defensive linemen, all of which are ready to prove themselves on the national and local stage. [player_tooltip player_id="377025" first="Deshon" last="Dodson"] doesn’t need any help, but [player_tooltip player_id="358153" first="Chris" last="Bressi"] and [player_tooltip player_id="142828" first="Koren" last="Robinson"] are out to show what they are made of. Bromfield will compliment that group nicely.
[player_tooltip player_id="164528" first="David" last="Macon"] will join a Cheltenham defense that has had quite the insurgence of youth and talent because of their recent coaching staff moves. We have talked about the offensive side of the ball and the pieces they added, the likes of Anthony Torres and [player_tooltip player_id="377326" first="Julian" last="Arthur"] to name a few. Macon can add his name next to [player_tooltip player_id="66046" first="Kion" last="Wright"]’s as two premier prospects who are ready to bolster this Cheltenham defense.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="142779" first="Shyne" last="Roberts"] - Martin Luther King / Upper Dublin</strong></span></em></span>
Here is one of the more under-rated and under appreciated moves I’ve come across this offseason. I am stuck on the belief that [player_tooltip player_id="142779" first="Shyne" last="Roberts"] is a potential FBS player. Maybe those in the know were weary to make the move because of the competition in the Philadelphia Public League. Some of those questions are fair, yet I have a feeling this move will be felt by many in District One. I am already a huge fan of many at Upper Dublin, the program hardly has a hole on both sides of the ball. Now, add a talent who can play almost anywhere amongst the front-seven, a talent who deserves to be higher on our rankings to begin with. Might not be a 2024 prospect I’m more excited to see than this kid.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="259534" first="Nick" last="Slogik"] - Warwick / Bishop McDevitt</strong></span></em></span>
Here’s an interesting move. [player_tooltip player_id="259534" first="Nick" last="Slogik"], a top-20 defensive linemen in a crowded class has chosen a change of scenery, one of which I believe might propell his stock through the roof. Slogik received an FBS-ceiling grade out of me, that grade would have been cemented whether he was at Warwick or not. We have seen talent out of the Warwick program reach the highest level of recruiting in the past, so to say Slogik will receive a recruitment boost solely because of the program switch might be a reach. What is exciting is seeing this kid up against some of the best Central Pennsylvania has to offer on a weekly basis. I’m also excited to see how Slogik meshes with the already talented front-seven at BMD. Wishing Nick the best!
