David McComb
David
McComb
6'3" | 215 lbs | QB
Edmond Memorial | 2025
State
OK
– Edmond Memorial
(Ranked #3 Overall)
Halfway through his freshman year, Edmond Memorial’s David McComb David McComb 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Edmond Memorial | 2025 State OK took over the starting spot at quarterback and never gave it up. He finished out the season strong and he’s had a fantastic offseason, full of camps and 7v7 tournaments. We’ve seen McComb a handful of times throughout the last six months and every time we see him, our opinion of him becomes more concrete. He has the size, he has the arm and he has the game IQ to become one of the state’s best. Look, it’s early to say things like this, but McComb has a chance to be one of the higher rated quarterbacks to come out of Oklahoma when it comes to the national scene. A lot has to happen between now and then, but it appears that he’s on that path already and we’re not the only ones who think so.
Shaker Reisig

Reisig
6'0" | 185 lbs | QB
Union | 2025
State
OK
– Union
(Ranked #5 Overall)
One of the biggest stories of the offseason came courtesy of 2025 quarterback Shaker Reisig Shaker Reisig 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Union | 2025 State OK when it was found out that he had moved into the Union district and joined the Redhawk football team. After leading rival Jenks to a state championship victory over Union, Reisig is now a Union Redhawk and the Union offense just got a big upgrade at the QB position. Reisig is right there with McComb in terms of talent. The only thing that has given McComb the edge is size. But you can make the argument that Reisig is more accurate and can lead offenses up and down the field. Just like with McComb, Reisig’s recruitment has already taken off and while he’s going into a new situation at Union and he’s going to have to compete, it’s hard to say he’s not the favorite to be QB1.
Jamarian Ficklin
Jamarian
Ficklin
6'1" | 180 lbs | QB
Muskogee | 2025
State
OK
– Muskogee
(Ranked #12 Overall)
One quarterback prospect who has an unbelievably high ceiling is Muskogee signal caller Jamarian Ficklin Jamarian Ficklin 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Muskogee | 2025 State OK . It was apparent last season that Muskogee had a star in the making when he started having an impact for the Roughers as a freshman. And the more I’ve gotten a chance to watch him throughout this offseason, the more I’m convinced that the potential is there. Ficklin is an outstanding athlete that can play a few different positions. But if you break him down as just a quarterback, the talent is still there and he still belongs in the conversation among the state’s best in this class. Guys far smarter than me when it comes to evaluating quarterbacks believe the same thing and Ficklin’s unorthodox throwing style and angles is something that stands out right now.
Bryce Tapley
Bryce
Tapley
6'0" | 145 lbs | QB
Bethel | 2025
OK
– Bethel
(Ranked #28 Overall)
While the top three quarterbacks in this 2025 class are already on the radar across the state, there was another breakout star in the 2025 class last season. Bethel quarterback Bryce Tapley Bryce Tapley 6'0" | 145 lbs | QB Bethel | 2025 OK put up some strong numbers for a freshman but it might have been overlooked because he played at a small school. However, we figured out halfway thru the 2021 season that Tapley was putting up some serious numbers and he was going to be a name to remember within this class. Nothing has changed since we first found out about Tapley’s breakout season. Tapley took care of the ball throughout his freshman season with 25 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions. He loses a lot of talent around him going into this fall but he’ll look to take the next step as a QB.
Grady Adamson
Grady
Adamson
6'1" | 215 lbs | QB
Deer Creek | 2025
State
OK
– Deer Creek
(Ranked #30 Overall)
This is one of the hardest rankings when it comes to the quarterback position. While the other four quarterbacks on this breakdown have plenty of varsity experience, Deer Creek’s Grady Adamson Grady Adamson 6'1" | 215 lbs | QB Deer Creek | 2025 State OK does not. However, this spring, he was one of the more impressive young quarterbacks and it seems like he belongs in that category of “up and coming” quarterbacks. Deer Creek made a run to the state championship game and had a senior at the quarterback position last fall. But now the position is open and the Antlers will look to a new face to not only fill it, but help lead them back to contending for a gold ball. If this spring is any indication, Adamson might be the right guy for that spot and could end up starting a nice little run for Deer Creek over the next few seasons.
