Our 2024 prospect rankings were recently released and the initial look shows plenty of high level players that are destined for the college gridiron and are well known at this point but what about the guys under the radar, just outside our Top 100?
Well here we go through each position highlighting the guys who are just outside our Top Rankings that have college level abilities but are currently below the radar. Several prospects listed below will become offered players in the near future, it's just a question of when!
Rankings: #TN2024 Prospects
(QB) [player_tooltip player_id="150269" first="Izaiah" last="Hall"] (6'2 185) - Jefferson Co. * 8th Ranked QB *

- A dual threat guy with nice size and an electric right arm, Hall is one of the better quarterback prospects from the East Tennessee region for the 2024 class. He is an athletic guy that shows on the film the ability to push the ball deep down field while also tucking the ball and running for positive yards. Part of the reason for sitting outside the Top 100, Hall needs to continue working on his mechanics and pass timing along with adding more strength to his frame and arm. The Patriots junior passer has plenty of time to develop his craft and I think he will get there as Hall is a worker and someone dedicated to getting better and reaching the college level.
Other QB's To Know: [player_tooltip player_id="207322" first="Carter" last="Smith"] - Hardin Co., [player_tooltip player_id="148838" first="Jordan" last="Bell"] - Munford, [player_tooltip player_id="258845" first="Keshawn" last="Tarleton"] - Pearl Cohn, [player_tooltip player_id="193742" first="Christian" last="Hoffman"] - Sevier Co.
(RB) [player_tooltip player_id="186297" first="Ashton" last="Jones"] (5'10 192) - DCA * 10th Ranked RB *
- One of the top leading rushers returning for the 2022 season is Jones and he looks in prime condition to help push his Wildcats team back to the D2-Class A title game for possible back to back championships. Jones is a well balanced back that brings power, speed and vision to the football field and a guy sitting under the recruiting radar at the moment. The Wildcats stud running back is a hard nosed competitor that runs extremely hard and provides consistency to his offense every time he touches the field. While the offers may not be there now, Jones should earn them with a big showing on the college camp scene this summer.
Others RB's To Know: [player_tooltip player_id="239250" first="Malachi" last="Cromwell"] - Pearl Cohn, [player_tooltip player_id="277791" first="Jaxson" last="Rollins"] - Upperman, [player_tooltip player_id="149150" first="Donovan" last="Holloway"] - Blackman, [player_tooltip player_id="277796" first="Ethan" last="Cunningham"] - Page
(WR) [player_tooltip player_id="239414" first="DeWayne" last="Mosley"] (6'2 170) - M.A.H.S. * 11th Ranked WR *

- This offseason has been good to this Memphis based wideout as Mosley has impressed at just about every camp he has attended this year and I expect him to keep that momentum up during the college camps next month. The Lions long and lean receiver has excellent speed and knows how to use that speed along with his slender frame to work in and around opposing defensive backs. Mosley has nice length along with a frame that can take on added weight, which would make him a harder guy to defend due to improved physicality. This is a talented wideout that with further development could move up in our next updated rankings while also seeing an increase with his college recruitment.
Other WR's To Know: [player_tooltip player_id="194503" first="Jordan" last="Davis"] - Columbia Central, [player_tooltip player_id="193752" first="Matthew" last="Manning"] - Brentwood, [player_tooltip player_id="258819" first="Jaidyn" last="Johnson"] - Lausanne, [player_tooltip player_id="157402" first="Connor" last="Ruth"] - Knox. Catholic
(TE) [player_tooltip player_id="149169" first="Andy" last="Smith"] (6'4 210) - Lipscomb Academy * 4th Ranked TE *
- The light has yet to shine on this Nashville based tight end but a bigger role should be in the cards for Smith this coming Fall season. Sporting nice size, length and a wide frame that can certainly tack on more weight, Smith is an athletic pass catcher that shows the talent and upside to make it into the college ranks one day. He doesn't have a lot of reps at the moment as upperclassmen are mainly played at Lipscomb but headed into his junior year, much is expected for Smith to become a key contributor on a strong Mustangs offense. Look for out for this tall pass catcher to breakout over the next two years.
Other TE's To Know: [player_tooltip player_id="258677" first="J.T." last="Byrum"] - Haywood, [player_tooltip player_id="258675" first="Blake" last="Ragsdale"] - MBA, [player_tooltip player_id="301364" first="Eli" last="Elkins"] - Maryville, [player_tooltip player_id="285360" first="Brayden" last="Goodreau"] - Northeast
(OL) [player_tooltip player_id="285341" first="Jacob" last="Thompson"] (6'3 290) - Ravenwood * 14th Ranked OL *
- Ravenwood is consistently putting out strong, physical linemen year after year and the next guy in line could be Thompson. A powerful run blocker with good lower body agility, Thompson is a beast in the middle that fits the offensive guard role perfectly but shows the potential to play center as well at some point in his career. This coming summer camp season and Fall football year will be big for Thompson as he looks to put himself on the map and work towards earning that first offer. The Raptors man in the middle should be taking on a bigger role across the line and may even take snaps at tackle, so watch out for this name going forward.
Other O-Linemen To Know: [player_tooltip player_id="155476" first="Zeke" last="Taylor"] - Briarcrest Chrst., [player_tooltip player_id="149185" first="Britton" last="Carver"] - Westview, [player_tooltip player_id="277757" first="Mitchael" last="Mosby"] - Oakhaven, [player_tooltip player_id="149175" first="Emerson" last="Petty"] - Baylor
(DL) [player_tooltip player_id="149318" first="Cortez" last="Chambers, Jr"] (6'3 290) - Bartlett * 17th Ranked DL *

- As things look right now headed into the summer, the 2024 defensive line crop is deep with 17 guys ranked inside the Top 100 and it doesn't include Chambers, Jr. The Panthers big and physical interior D-lineman has all the size and physical traits that translates well to the next level but he has to put it all together and if he does, watch out! Big expectations will be put on Chambers, Jr this coming Fall as he is expected to be a consistent force in the middle that plugs up the run while occasionally producing a pass rush from the middle. This is a future college offered prospect that will definitely take a rise within our next updated rankings.
Other D-Linemen to Know: [player_tooltip player_id="258669" first="Joe" last="McCord"] - Alcoa, [player_tooltip player_id="207301" first="Rodney" last="Hunter"] - ECS, [player_tooltip player_id="287426" first="Malik" last="Bolling"] - East Nashville, [player_tooltip player_id="258818" first="Daniel" last="Anderson"] - Germantown
(LB) [player_tooltip player_id="228696" first="Rodney" last="Williams"] (6'2 195) - Bradley Central * 16th Ranked LB *

- Opposing offenses from the East Tennessee region will start learning about this linebacker very soon as this is a talent that I foresee making a name for himself this season and positioning himself to become a college recruited prospect. Williams is an athletic and fast tackler that sports nice physical traits along with the lower body agility and foot speed to make it into the college ranks. Williams certainly has some room to grow and further development but the upside is there, especially when you watch his film and watch him fly to the ball. He has a lot of tools that translate to the next level, so it will be fun to watch his progression over the next two years and see where he lands on the collegiate level.
Other LB's to Know: [player_tooltip player_id="301387" first="JaDainian" last="McMurry"] - Gallatin, [player_tooltip player_id="277761" first="D.J." last="Curll"] - Centennial, [player_tooltip player_id="149387" first="Jaylen" last="Sanderfer"] - Boyd Buchanan, [player_tooltip player_id="331623" first="Jake" last="Moore"] - MBA
(DB) [player_tooltip player_id="258812" first="Kamari" last="Thompson"] (6'0 160) - Pearl Cohn * 20th Ranked DB *
- Thompson just missed cracking our Top 100 rankings this time around but he is a talented cover guy that can certainly rise within our next update as well as position himself this summer as an offered college prospect. The Firebirds rising junior already has a good bit of experience on the field, playing significant minutes last year as a sophomore, so this coming season should be a breakout year for this Middle Tennessee area defensive back. He is a technician that moves very well with his lower base along with having the speed to keep pace with receivers. He does need more work but the talent is there to become one of the best defensive back prospects from not only the Nashville region but the entire state.
Other DB's to Know: [player_tooltip player_id="150288" first="Jaylen" last="Mosby"] - Cane Ridge, [player_tooltip player_id="258811" first="Evan" last="Richardson"] - Henry Co., [player_tooltip player_id="207777" first="Travarius" last="Flood"] - Greenbrier, [player_tooltip player_id="231145" first="TaVarius" last="Burton"] - St. Benedict
(Ath) [player_tooltip player_id="150283" first="Malik" last="Grizzard"] (6'0 185) - Tullahoma * 17th Ranked ATH *

- Coming off a state title run last season, Tullahoma is looking to replace several key starters and one guy who looks to take on a significant role this coming year is Grizzard and this is a name to definitely keep an eye on going forward. A multi talented guy with a large bag of skills, Grizzard is a well put together young man that works harder than anybody and is dedicated to becoming the best football player he can. It's unclear right now as to what position the Wildcats junior will play on the collegiate level but his versatility is a key trait that will most certainly get him there. Grizzard sits just outside the Top 100 at the moment but he is a guy that can definitely rise in the next update but also someone that could become a household recruiting name sooner than later.
Other Ath's to Know: [player_tooltip player_id="332217" first="Elijah" last="Groves"] - East Robertson, [player_tooltip player_id="277771" first="Eric" last="Jones"] - Franklin Co., [player_tooltip player_id="150298" first="Cam" last="Davis"] - Westview, [player_tooltip player_id="265416" first="William" last="Carver"] - Whitehaven
