The two-day event ended with a 15U and 18U team leaving with the championship trophies. Only one team per level was crowned champion at the end of the second day, but that does not mean there was a shortage of talent that came out to compete.
This article will look at six players from the 15U level who put on spotlight-worthy performances during the 7-on-7 tournament.
Champ Jones | Legend | 5’11”, 184lbs | 2025 QB/ATH
Jones put on a fantastic showing during the tournament with Performance Empire, displaying phenomenal athleticism and versatility. He has good size on a solid frame and great speed and explosiveness, which makes him a problematic receiver to cover. His ability to go up and snag the ball out of the air with blanket coverage on him was nothing less than show-stopping. Jones is a player who will excel in any position he lines up in, making him a player to start keeping tabs on early.
Jakhai Mack Jakhai Mack WR Mountain Vista | 2025 State CO | Mountain Vista | 5’10”, 150lbs | 2025 ATH
Mack quietly put on one of the best performances during 5280 Ambush’s run to win the tournament for the 15U level. He is a two-way player who finds success on both sides of the ball. More than a few times as a receiver, he would slip behind coverages and be open for big gains. Defensively, he was flying around the field and keeping routes underneath him to stay from getting beat deep. Mack is a young player who plays a significant role for his team, making him one to watch.
Cameron Cooper Cameron Cooper 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Pine Creek | 2025 State CO | Pine Creek | 6’0”, 183lbs | 2025 QB
Cooper is no stranger to snagging his place under the spotlight, especially when playing for Team Full Gorilla. He has a powerful arm and a sharp release. What made him stand out during the tournament was his competitive switch when his team was behind in a knockout match. His ability to kick it up a notch when the game is on the line helps set him apart from the rest. Cooper has made a compelling argument for why he should be considered one of the top up-and-coming quarterbacks in the state.

Andre Veasley | Overland | 5’9”, 150lbs | 2025 QB
Veasley is a radar pop-up who put on an impressive showing during the tournament with Team Colorado. He stayed light on the balls of his feet while scanning the field and displayed his arm strength on short and deep passes. Veasley is a young quarterback who showed significant promise as a gunslinger who deserves a closer look as a potential recruit.
Jeremiah Hoffman Jeremiah Hoffman 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Severance | 2025 State CO | Severance | 6’0”, 165lbs | 2025 WR/DB
Hoffman is a sleeper who is on the verge of becoming a breakout prospect. He has phenomenal athleticism and somehow finds the tiniest creases within the defense’s secondary. His ability to up and get the ball at its highest point makes him an ideal target for his quarterback. During the event, he made more than a few clutch plays, including the walk-off touchdown reception in a wild comeback win on the second day. Hoffman is a player with a lot of upside who is on his way to being a top athlete in the state.
Brock Kolstad Brock Kolstad 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB Fairview | 2025 State CO | Fairview | 6’0”, 217lbs | 2025 LB
Kolstad is the type of player who balances the scales of 7-on-7 by using his physicality to remind everyone that football is a contact sport. His strength and size give him a dominating presence, while his skill and techniques make his area on the field a no-fly zone. Kolstad is currently one of the top linebackers in the state who is on his way to becoming one of the top in the country. Write his name in all caps and circle it until the pen runs dry.
