The Prep RedZone Next class of 2026 Watch List Vol. 2 was recently released. This is a list of prospects, not yet in high school, that look to project to play at the FBS/FCS/Division 2 levels in the future.
By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are not rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all lists. These are the prospects that we have seen, that stand out to our team.
Below, we’ll take a look at Part 2 of the class of 2026 California prospects, labeled as line backer prospects, that are currently on the Watch List.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Lendsey is a traditional inside linebacker who plays downhill and isn’t afraid to make a hit. He does a nice job taking on and fighting through blocks. He showcases good body control and does a good job not allowing ball carriers to get extra yardage.
[player_tooltip player_id="283604" first="Daniel" last="Maccharles"] | Linebacker
The 5-foot-10, 210-pound linebacker shows good natural instinct and knowledge of the game. He’s able to read and process his keys quickly and runs well in pursuit in the open field.
[player_tooltip player_id="283599" first="Christian" last="Panapa"] | Linebacker
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect already holds D1 offers and for good reason. Panapa plays extremely fast and isn’t afraid to run through opposing players. He shows good instinct and agility and often finds himself in opposing backfields unblocked. He’s a nightmare off the edge as he’s constantly disrupting opposing offenses.
[player_tooltip player_id="283615" first="Ezekial" last="Su’a"] | Linebacker
Su’a plays fast and does a nice job exploding through ballcarriers. He’s quick out of his stange, does a nice job identifying the play, is fluid in and out of his breaks and he takes great angles to get to the ball carrier in a hurry.
[player_tooltip player_id="283614" first="Ezaya" last="Tokio"] | Linebacker
Tokio is one of the top linebacker prospects in the state. He’s got tremendous speed, great instincts and is physical at the point of contact. He’s a natural-born leader who anchors the OG Ducks defense.
[player_tooltip player_id="283617" first="Isitolo" last="Tuugamusu"] | Linebacker
Tuugamusu is a ballhawk who moves well from sideline to sideline. His combination of speed and length make him an adequate coverage and run stopper.
