A new year is upon us and 2022 will provide a new opportunity for prospects across the state of Tennessee to make names for themselves and jump on the radar as possible college recruits.
The outgoing recruiting class still has a month to finish up their process but all eyes will soon focus on prospects from the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes and both groups appear to have several high quality talents to scout much deeper.
Many of the names below are prospects that currently sit under the radar but have the talent and upside to eventually be considered Power Five, Division 1 or FCS level recruits.
2023 Prospects
(WR) Demetrius Bell (6’1 165) - McGavock
- Bell is an electric, game breaking talent that has Power Five and NFL upside. He has elite quickness off the line and separation away from defenders that makes him a scary receiver to cover. Many do not know much about Bell at this time but he is a prime candidate to bust loose with a lot of college offers very soon and become an elite prospect.

(Ath) [player_tooltip player_id="102187" first="Bo" last="Burklow"] (6’4 230) - CPA
- This past season as a junior, Burklow was a solid contributor and every down player but was not the lead guy. That changes this year as the Lions two way talent will be expected to step up into a lead role and produce at both tight end and defensive end. Burklow is a big and talented young man that will be heavily recruited sooner than later.
(DB) [player_tooltip player_id="153474" first="Osize" last="Daniyan"] (6’1 ½ 185) - Mt. Juliet
- This guy doesn’t know how good he can be and the moment he does, watch out! Daniyan sports the size, arm length and athleticism that collegiate coaches love. Ole Miss has already extended an offer but this Golden Bears defensive back has the talents to gain many, many more, so watch out for this guy going forward.
(WR) [player_tooltip player_id="207352" first="London" last="Humphreys"] (6’3 185) - CPA
- Humphreys had a breakout year this season as a junior which in turn has made him a legit college recruit. The biggest trait about Humphreys that excites you is his speed and big play abilities. He was the Lions home run threat and this offseason, Humphreys plans to display these skills in hopes for college offers.
(QB) [player_tooltip player_id="250834" first="Charles" last="Robinson"], Jr (6’1 185) - Knox. Webb
- Watch out for this East Tennessee signal caller over the next few months as I expect Robinson, Jr to become a hot name and a highly recruited prospect. He had a strong junior season then showed up to our #PRZTN Showcase earlier this month and impressed everybody. Robinson, Jr has the arm talent and athleticism that D1 coaches are looking for.

2024 Prospects
(DE) [player_tooltip player_id="258668" first="D.J." last="Allen"] (6’4 215) - Germantown
- Word is beginning to get out on this Red Devils edge rusher and Allen could be positioning himself as the top in-state defensive end college prospect for the 2024 class. This Memphis area edge rusher sports nice size, arm length and the frame to take on more weight as well as the explosion to cause havoc in the backfield. Expect a big offseason ahead for Allen!
(S) [player_tooltip player_id="205153" first="Brody" last="Blankenship"] (6’1 190) - Carter
- Blankenship isn’t an unknown guy but for some reason he still sits without an offer, however that should be changing very soon! The Hornets star safety is a straight playmaker that produces on both sides of the ball. Some college coaches may view Blankenship as a better wide out but his upside sits best on defense where he can roam the field, making powerful hits and plays on the ball.

(DB) [player_tooltip player_id="207309" first="Joshua" last="Hampton"] (6’2 180) - Baylor
- The next great prospect to come out of Baylor could be Hampton as the guy sports the college size, length and skill set that coaches look for. This Red Raiders defender got his feet wet this past season as a sophomore where at times he dominated his position and looked like a future P5 cornerback. No offers just but that will change soon.
(LB) [player_tooltip player_id="228694" first="Crews" last="Law"] (6’1 205) - CPA
- The Law name at CPA continues with this linebacker and he could have bigger upside than his older brother (Who is headed to Vanderbilt to play baseball). The younger Law is well built already with a frame that can take on added weight. He is also quite active with a nose for the ball. Law has already been targeted by college coaches but is still waiting on the offers.
(RB) [player_tooltip player_id="207330" first="Elijah" last="Robb"] (5’9 185) - Pope Prep
- This is a talented back that was given the lead role this past season as a sophomore and he did not disappoint. Robb is a strong, well balanced back that can hit the home run or churn out the tough yards. He is also a willing blocker and developing receiver, so he brings a lot of skills to the backfield. Look for Robb to become a household name over the next two years.
