Here we have a ton of 2024 talent with diverse position groups, so without further ado here are 6 class of 2024 players to watch in the OK-Green
Muskegon SB Destin Piggee
Piggee is the next man up in a long line of great Muskegon athletes. Piggee is fast and has some of the best vision I’ve scouted. He always seemed to know just exactly where he needs to go in order to find a hole and make a huge play. Going into his junior season, Piggee looks to play a larger role in the Muskegon offense.
Mona Shores T Luke Emmons
Emmons has incredible size and power, standing at 6’3 300lbs. Emmons may as well be a chef because he cooks up multiple pancakes every game and he’s only going to increase his output next season.
Union MLB Robert Dedrick
Union is a team that I could see rising very rapidly in the ranks, and that’s because of coaching, as well as players like Dedrick. He’s a very talented linebacker at 5’10 218lbs and shows excellent IQ and awareness. I have no doubt that he’ll continue to work through the offseason, molding him into a great player for 2022.
Wyoming WR/DB Mauricio Hernandez
An asset on offense and defense, Hernandez has the opportunity to greatly raise his stock next season. He’s a playmaker on offense who runs good routes and is great after the catch. On the defensive side of the ball, he plays with a high motor and has good man coverage skills. If he spends enough time competing this offseason, Hernandez could turn some heads.
Zeeland East OLB Christopher Seay
Seay is a great size for a linebacker at 5’11 185lbs and is undoubtedly going to play a larger role in the Chix defense next year. Now, he showcases lots of good linebacker traits such as awareness, aggressiveness, etc, but for next year I’m looking for him to go from good to great, then from great to excellent by his senior season.
Reeths-Puffer S Bryce Ross
The Rockets have plenty of 2024 talent, with Bryce Ross being perhaps the strongest in the class. Ross started on varsity, totaling 62 tackles with 8.5 TFL’s, 4 pass breakups, an interception, and a forced fumble. From these stats, you can just tell that Ross is a great all-around safety that’s really not afraid to get after it in the run and pass game. I’m very excited to see what Ross is able to do next season under a new coaching staff.
