Medina versus Lakewood Saint Edwards
Medina
Medina’s [player_tooltip player_id="34394" first="Drew" last="Allar"] would seem to be the odd’s on favorite for Ohio’s Mr. Football award in 2021. The 6’5 230 pound Penn State commit, Allar, has a Power 5 ready made body and arm. He’s creative in using different arm slots to deliver the ball in tight situations. He also has the touch to make the short and intermediate passes as well as the ability to drive the ball downfield on the deep passes. Medina will look to spread Saint Ed’s and get the ball to their WR’s in space. Two of those receivers are 2023 Brennen Schramm WR and 2022 WR Drew Hensley. They’re athletic and polished route runners who just consistently make plays. While the Bees offense is what gets most of the attention, the defense has been stout. The defense is lead by 2022 DL Nick Manley who’s getting D1 FCS and D2 interests. Medina will try and end the Eagles playoff run for the second straight season.

Key to Medina winning is giving [player_tooltip player_id="34394" first="Drew" last="Allar"] time to throw and make plays.
Lakewood Saint Edwards
Ed’s is lead by opposing QB 2022 Christian Ramos. Ramos is a dual threat QB who can hurt you through the air or on the ground and does a great job making plays out of structure. He specifically excels at throwing on the run. Ramos has an offer to play baseball at Bowling Green. For Ed’s to win this game it’s going to need Christian Ramos to make a few game changing plays. 2022 Rayshawn Manning is the favorite target of Ramos. Manning has good length and does a great job of winning the 50/50 balls.
’The defense lead by 2022 LB [player_tooltip player_id="189517" first="Wyatt" last="Gedeon"] who has several MAC offers, and 2023 Edge Rusher [player_tooltip player_id="189509" first="Michael" last="Kilbane"] who has MAC interests and is starting to pick up Power 5 interest. Gedeon profiles as an outside linebacker at the next level who’s athletic and has a good nose for the ball. Kilbane has good length at 6’4 and shows a good mix of power and athleticism. 2022 LB Zyion Brown is a thick backer who’s a thumper. 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="187505" first="Joel" last="Castleberry"] is a versatile corner who will fit in either a zone or man scheme. Up front Matthew Oudeman is a space eater who can make a play when needed getting D2 looks.
