Weekend 2 of the SKLZ Speed Challenges brought us to Cincinnati, Ohio, where we got a chance to see a few of the fastest athletes from around the region.
The class of 2027 WR/DB out of a Aurora ran a... checks notes... 4.27 at Buckeye State Blitz?? Remember folks this was laser timed!
If you're familiar with McGovern, you'll know this time wasn't a fluke. The track star ripped off several long touchdowns for Aurora this year including punt returns, direct snaps from the wildcat, and screens with impressive runs after the catch. He already holds a D1 offer from Army, and with his combination of size and speed, we expect to see more in his future.

Taylor, the sophomore WR/DB ran a scorching 4.39 this weekend, good enough for second this weekend and 5th nationally across our SKLZ Speed Challenge!
With two more years of development before he heads to the next level, Joshua has a ton of potential. You can't teach that kind of speed, and as he continues to develop into his frame, we believe he has the potential to be an impact player on Saturday in the future.

Dawaun Moody
Dawaun Moody
Moody a blazing 4.45 this weekend and it's no surprise given his high school numbers! The junior RB has already rushed for over 3,000 yards in HS career and is primed for an explosive senior season this fall.
He's already proven he has D1 speed, holding an offer from Youngstown State. After proving his speed in Cincinnati this weekend, we expect to see more offers in his future.
Jackson-Rodriquez ran an impressive 4.48 this weekend, good enough for 4th on our 40 leaderboard this weekend in what was a blazingly fast event.
With that type of top-end speed and acceleration, the freshman RB/DB from New York proved he has a bright future in front of him. He's solidified himself as a name for college coaches to know over the next few years.

Tyler Carniewski
Last but certainly not least from our top 5 times this weekend was Tyler Carniewski, running a great 4.5 flat. Carniewski leverages his speed on both sides of the ball, playing both RB and DB.
As he's just a freshman, Tyler has a ton of potential as he fills out his frame and polishes his game to match his next-level speed. Don't be surprised to hear his name called on Saturdays in a few years.
