On Saturday, May 2, 2026 I was invited out by You Are Athlete to cover their annual Regional Exposure Camp for the third consecutive year. This year's event was hosted by Piscataway High School and was, in my experience, their best yet. Featuring the best crop of talent I have seen out of their events yet, it was extremely well ran and plenty of reps to be had.

Below are my notes for a handful of prospects at the position group I referenced in this article's title.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter for the latest New Jersey high school football prospect news and not miss a beat!

A 2026 prospect looking to make his last salvo for his college dreams was Gregory Pugh. Pugh should focus on improving his footwork. Doing so will enable him to get to his drops and set his feet quicker. Additionally, his mechanics - both lower and upper half - have an opportunity to improve.

A youngster yet to complete his freshman year in high school, Apollo Koutsiavakis, showed his age. Koutsiavakis exercised a bit too much patience as he waiting for the perfect moment to throw the ball. Anticipating the window and getting the ball out sooner with more zip would benefit him. During the rep that I witnessed, Koutsiavakis' receiver had to wait on him a bit more than I would like. I am confident, however, this will come to him as he breaks into varsity practices and gets acclimated to the speed of the game at that level.

Kyrell Lynch, as big as he is, was a prospect I was initially impatient with. I eagerly waited for him to totally uncork a throw. It took a while for him to finally do it, but when he did, oh boy did he zing it far, deep, and fast. Later on I caught a look of him during 7v7. I was left in a bind: I could not decide whether Lynch made a better read or better throw on a v-corner smash concept route.

Caleb Maugeri had a solid showing. Mechanically, I wish to see him transfer his weight more when throwing. Doing so will get more juice on the ball. While competing during 7v7, I wish that he would go through his progression a bit quicker. There was a post route that was opening in real time. Maugeri saw it late and therefore had to rush his throw. As a result, the ball was less than ideal.

You Are Athlete New Jersey Regional Exposure Camp Event Coverage

You Are Athlete (YAA) Event Coverage: The Offensive Eye Test
You Are Athlete (YAA) Event Coverage: The Defensive Eye Test
You Are Athlete Event Coverage: Defensive Back Notebook, Part I
You Are Athlete Event Coverage: Quarterback Notebook, Part I
